I hope they are removing all the problematic (ultra-rare) existing treasures and passives to make room for this new stuff.
Also, this new keyword seems awfully confusing for those of us who can't even understand the concept of a second (and third) page of decks in our collection.
He gets triggered when people join the Alliance because they care more about stupid WoW allegiances than which card will actually look better as Diamond.
Ha, this game is going to be pretty hard for all those idiot streamers who call every card by the stats instead of the name. No, that card is not "3/1 Stealth." It's Sneaky Delinquent, and this conversation would be a lot easier to follow if you'd use proper names.
Arena is yet another unworkable relic of Hearthstone's attempt to emulate physical card games. They wanted a draft mode, but they couldn't figure out how to do an actual draft, so we got this abomination. It needs to be rebuilt from the ground up.
There are plenty of people who don't have golden heroes. Some are newer players, and others are older players who may simply not like to play a given class.
I'm on my last legs with Hearthstone. Been playing almost every day since Kobolds. The Stormwind quests sucked a lot of joy out of it for me. Alterac has some fun decks but it's imbalanced and I'm sick to death of pirate warrior. Just playing a bit because it's familiar/habit etc.
Alterac is unironically the most balanced meta we've had in years. If this is enough to push you over the edge then yes, you probably need a break.
Also, PIrate Warrior (assuming you're talking about Standard) is easily the most exploitable deck in the entire meta and as long as you play a halfway decent ladder deck you can farm it like it's a crappy homebrew, it's that predictable. If the case is that you're playing Wild then...honestly I don't know how you made it this far, that place is a shithow.
They didn't say they couldn't beat Pirate Warrior. They said they were sick of it. BIG difference. But it's not the game's fault that so many mouth-breathers can't find a better deck to play.
I definitely agree that the meta is pretty balanced at the moment. The prevalence of certain annoying decks is due to the player base, not the design team.
This is just further proof that level-based game design is stupid, unnecessary, and detrimental to the long-term health of a game. They made leveling up so trivial that hardcore players can do it in no time at all, but enough of a chore for casuals that Blizzard felt the need to add this ridiculous gizmo to the game to help them get around it. Either way, LEVELING UP IS SOMETHING NO ONE WANTS TO DO.
Don't get me wrong -- I like progression, but I want it to be horizontal, not vertical. I want to slowly broaden the scope of my abilities, not just get bigger numbers that eventually trivialize content.
Mercenaries would have been a lot more fun as a more "open-world" experience, with no levels. Each area would still have a different flavor and different enemies, but you could tackle them in whatever order you choose, and no area would become obsolete because it had been outleveled.
This would still leave room for equipment and coins and such for horizontal progression. In fact, the various challenges would be a lot more interesting if each piece of equipment could really shine in certain encounters. You get a tiny taste of that now, but in many cases it's clear that one item is just strictly better than the other two.
It's probably the same people who like to ask easily Googled questions on forums instead of using Google, or the people who ask questions in the comments that are literally answered in the first line of the article they are commenting on.
You can bet your next paycheck they will be offered as a bundle. They may also be offered individually, but that's more of a coin toss.
Elemental synergy! Also, Frigid Winds incentivizes the use of slower abilities ... interesting.
Really nice to see more Fire and Frost in the game!
I'm perfectly happy to see all the popular treasures die.
Not making sense has never been a reason that applies to Hearthstone, especially for new things, especially nowadays.

Hooray! I never have to use that awful Christmas card back again! *dances in street*
I hope they do something similar for portraits when a portrait randomizer comes along.
... or maybe this is part of that feature, being added sooner than we expected?
I hope this does not pop up when it would not actually affect quest progression. That would get annoying.

Oh, wait ... that's my trigger.

(Sorry, big pet peeve of mine.)
Same. Wish I could dust this boring old dwarf art.
Haha ... dwarf fart.
I'm willing to let Demon Hunter rotate out. Blizzard, you have my permission.

Mini-expansion reveal, duh.
Still better with Trogg, even after the nerf.

I'd understand this if Corrupt were not still in Standard, but ... wow.
