I think there may be too many conditions to be met. It probably won't be the worst card, but I expect most other 3-drops will be more attractive.

They don't have to be big beasts. They just have to be capable of killing. Pack your deck with Poisonous beasts, and this is a board clear even if you don't manage to pull Krush with it. It's Basilisk's time to shine!

I get that it sucks for people who run fansites, but let's not forget that we are not owed card reveals. They do it primarily to generate publicity, and secondarily to generate good will with influencers. Right now they are probably trying to avoid publicity, so that overrides the secondary concern.

The Blizzard publicity machine has dropped every single ball it's been handed for the past 12 months, so I would not be too surprised to learn that everyone who used to handle this stuff is no longer handling this stuff. Where I work, if a publicity campaign went anything like the Mercs launch, heads would be rolling left and right. You may find the situation "unacceptable," but I suspect there may be some very practical and logistical reasons for the radio silence.

I wonder if a Big Spell Mage might do well with a lot of small minions and a few big spells. It's worth a try if we get any new big Mage spells. The groundwork is already there, but there just haven't been enough big spells this year.

You absolutely need something this strong if you're playing a Big deck in a Questline world.

Most classes have plenty of spells they want to play in the early game, so the deckbuilding requirement is barely noticeable.

You can always play a really strong Deathrattle like Burning Blade Acolyte first and see if it sticks. If not, great, you have a big demon. If your opponent is not ready for a big demon and chooses not to give it to you, you can play this to punish them, then proceed to play more Deathrattles. Works great with Counterfeit Blade, too.

I don't even need to see the rest of the cards to know that this will be auto-include in every Paladin.

Mana cheat is always too strong. This will be no exception.

I'm so glad I stopped caring about skins and card backs, and I'm even gladder this is a boring old dwarf skin, which makes me not care at all about owning it.

Now, for the first time in a long time, I feel no urge to pre-order. I'll just use gold to get the cards I need and stop supporting the terrible design decisions we've seen recently.

I somewhat admire team5's decision to let us choose between two legendaries. A risky proposal given that they've shied away from this approach with the understandable reason that people will feel bad having chose poorly, or the fact that 90% of the players will just choose the stronger or more viable legendary and so that's all we'll be seeing for the first 2 weeks.

I would assume that no matter the choice, you can ultimately play whatever you like, so you can paradoxically play and win using alliance decks whilst having chose for the horde.

Honor points come from quests, and they count toward the faction you chose, period. There's no such thing as an alliance deck or a horde deck.

One way to keep people from picking the "best" leader would be to make them so similar that it really doesn't matter. Then it's purely a matter of personal preference.

You get both goldens for free, but you pick one to support for the contest. So you should pick the card you want to see as a diamond.

Nope, never mind. It actually works the stupid way. I should have known better than to hope it would be sensible.

My only real gripe with Duels is the concept of ultra-rare (and ultra-powerful) treasures. In a PvP game mode, balance is a LOT more important than a few players getting to feel special because they won the treasure lottery.

It's just like every other quest. It stays until you complete it or delete it.

The only catch is that you're far less likely to get a Nozdormu opponent if you wait. Hmmm ... maybe I should start saving it for a day.

When it's not being played with a massive permanent spell damage buff, I actually think the infinite burn of Ignite is fine. It's super slow, but it's the only way a burn strategy even stands a chance against massive healing or armor. The heal deck is still favored because Ignite is so slow to ramp up, but at least that match-up becomes slightly less polarized.

I think "fatigue the opponent" is one of the worst win conditions in Hearthstone, and I like that there's a counter.

If you're a lore wonk, don't forget that it's possible they could release a different version of an existing character, but with a different tribal tag. I'm not saying it's super likely, but certainly possible.

As a hypothetical example, in Hearthstone, normal Rokara would be an Orc, but Cap'n Rokara is a Pirate.

These tags are meant to lend flavor and mechanical effects to one version of a character, not to cement that character as one single type of creature for all time.

Hopefully this nerf exterminates it from ladder, even though the nerf isn't that damaging (+2 damage aura effect the whole game is still ridiculous).

I dunno ... I very often feel like I just needed one more turn to beat the Mage, and this should turn the tables in those cases.

What 1-drop would you cut? Every 1-mana minion in the existing list is better than Reef for what this deck needs most (value and stickiness).

The average is one legendary per 20 packs, just like Hearthstone cards. Counting the free one, you are only slightly behind the curve.
