I don't understand. How is it harder to win now that you are being paired with someone based on your win rate? Wouldn't be a more fair matchup now? My experiences have been pretty positive. I feel like I have a fighting chance in the majority of my games, I never face an opponent who I feel is way better than me, or way worse.
If you are being paired against someone with the legend cardback and 1,000 win portrait, that doesn't necessarily mean you are fighting a world champion, it simply means they have been playing for a long time and have made legend at least once. It doesn't reflect skill so much as patience.
If there is any issue with the matchmaking so that people are being paired against opponents who are too tough then they will fix it.
Here are some cards I already had made that fit the theme:
I already submitted Short-Tempered Brute in a previous competition and it didn't make the finals so I probably won't submit it this time but I will still put it out there anyway.
I had created Shadow Imp along with some other non-warlock/demonhunter demons for the competition last week but then decided that I didn't like them much and didn't bother submitting.
What do you think?
That's a lot… I'll try my best to be helpful!
Illidan is a cool effect, but now that he's a hero, it might be better to change the actual flavour of the card. It doesn't have to be legendary either, that could easily pass for a Rare or Epic in my opinion if you tweaked the flavour.
For Crystal Imp, do you mean destroy a friendly demon? Cause the wording implies you could destroy any demon and that would be LUDICROUSLY strong. I still think it's a bit strong regardless, as it wouldn't be a challenge to just destroy a random imp you summoned.
Reno… I'm not quite sure if Highlander is a downside, but lets say it is for now. I'm not quite sure on the usability of it. Dragons are generally very expensive, so filling your hand with many expensive dragons probably isn't the best idea…
Shadow Imp is flat-out not a downside. Sorry.
Short-Tempered Brute is your best, but that's already been submitted... I'd say submit Illidan with different flavour, or Crystal Imp with different wording and maybe a slight balance change. I don't think highlander counts as a downside (please correct if I'm wrong) and Shadow Imp doesn't match this theme at all.
Good luck to you with the re-works and sorry if I was a bit harsh.
I wasn't entirely sure if Highlander counted, but I figured better safe than sorry. And looking back I can see that Shadow Imp isn't really a downside but rather a conditional effect.
About Crystal Imps wording, "Sacrifice" is a keyword in Magic: the Gathering and sometimes I accidentally put it on my custom Hearthstone cards without noticing. It should say "destroy a friendly Demon".

Feedback:
@linkblade91, both of these cards look great, but I think I like the shaman one better. For one, it looks a lot more powerful, and also, freeze shaman.
@Demonxz95, I don't like it. It isn't good, or realistic. I just can't take this card seriously, so I can't really appreciate it.
@TheHoax91, It is a very cool design, but probably too powerful for control paladin. This may not be a fair comparison, but Mistress of Mixtures also heals both players for 4, and it was very popular in control decks that didn't care about restoring health to their opponent. I would either reduce the health or make it lose divine shield.
@shaveyou, I like Twisted Ancient better. Cobalt Sky-Serpent just looks way too swingy. You either kill it and it was all in vain, or you deal 10 damage to your opponent right off the bat on turn 5. Compare it to Flamewreathed Faceless, it has 2/2 less plus windfury, which makes it deal more damage but also a lot easier to kill, and there is no risk with the overload. All in all I think this card would feel a lot less fair than Flamewreathed Faceless, and I don't like that.
@MenacingBagel, this card frankly looks way to OP. So many aggro decks are already dead by the time they get to 10 mana, and would love to be able to play a 4 mana 10/10. I would redesign it so that it isn't so prominent in deciding the outcome of the game.
@Xarkkal, This card looks fine, I would just rename it and make it a warlock card. It is weird having a warrior card that just says "discard your hand".

I disagree, the only minions which you really wouldn't want to transform are Akama and [Hearthstone Card (Shadowhewler Hanar) Not Found]. Even minions like Edwin VanCleef or [Hearthstone Card (Escaped Mansaber) Not Found] who have strong battlecries or on-board abilities still aren't always as good as a random minion costing 3 more.

Basic - Tracking. This card is powerful, fun, and a very handy tool for hunters.
Common - This is a tough decision to make. But I think my favorite is Kobold Librarian because every warlock deck I have ever built since this card came out has included him.
Rare- Either Evolve or Devolve. I like Evolve because of how fun it is to play, but I also like Devolve because of how efficiently is can destroy your opponents synergy.
Epic - Doomsayer, a handy neutral board clear that requires some timing to get just right.
Legendary - This is tough. There are the really powerful, build around cards like Shudderwock and Bloodreaver Gul'dan. There are those iconic characters like Ragnaros the Firelord or Deathwing. And there are also other cards which just tickle my fancy like Deathstalker Rexxar, [Hearthstone Card (Zola Gorgon) Not Found], or Lorewalker Cho. I really can't decide on a favorite Legendary without remembering another Legendary which I like just as much.

According to the stats on my Hearthstone Deck Tracker, I have a 56% win rate total, while going second I have a 53% win rate, and going first I have a 59% win rate. In spite of the extra card and coin, I still lose more often going second.
Yeah I don't like this new system either. I've only been playing 6 months, and have a small collection, but I managed to reach 5 every month since I started, but now I keep facing Legend cardback players with top tier meta decks, and I just can't win (I have to improvise my own decks since I'm missing crucial cards). I played 10 games today and lost 9, and this is at Bronze 6 for crying out loud.
I think your issue may be one similar an issue I had a while back when I started a new account.
I wanted to start Hearthstone over on a new account to see how the new player experience had changed, and to see what it was like to climb through ranks 50-26. It was super easy for a good bit of it, but then by the time I got about rank 35-30 or so, I had a much harder time winning. I had climbed through a lot of ranks in only a few days, but my opponents had been playing a lot longer and so they had opened a lot more packs. They had way more legendarys and way better decks than me.
It could be a similar issue for you. You haven't been playing as long, but are still a good enough player to have a high MMR, so you are being paired with opponents of the same skill level as you, but they have bigger better collections because they have been playing for longer.
About my own personal opinion about the new ranked system: I don't give two mules for the climbing experience or how challenging it is to reach legend or whatever. I am earning more rewards, and therefore it is better.
Wait, So does it kinda work like Rolling Fireball, or is it just "deal 3 damage to an enemy minion, if it dies, deal 3 damage to one of its neighbors and that's it?
I think it will continue to chain onto more minions until one of them survives

Very creative using Arcane Dynamo. I will expirament with this some when the expansion launches. However, there are 4 other Demon Hunter spells that cost 5+ mana, what are you planning on doing when you don't pull exactly 2 Inner Demons?

Is there a reason you are playing Sideshow Spelleater instead of Sir Finley Mrrgglton? Finley costs 5 less mana and you might give your opponent a worse hero power than yours.

I agree. Some cards I voted really low or high on, but then after writing a review and considering how you would actually use the card, I ended up changing my mind.

This card isn't bad, but I don't think this will make the cut. Unless you care about damaging your minions I don't think you would want to play this. As we have seen from Charge, just giving a minion rush isn't worth a card slot in your deck.

Unless you are really desperate to damage your hero, this card is just really bad. Maybe if it had better stats it would be worth playing on some aggro deck, but as a 1/4 it is just really really bad.

I don't like it. If you want spell damage, there are better cards. If you just want a sticky 2-drop, there are better cards. And I don't think there is any deck where you would want both.

Are we sure it works like that? Genn Greymane doesn't say "costs 1 less" he says, "it costs 1".
I think it will continue to chain onto more minions until one of them survives
I am so hyped to try all of the new warlock cards. In my opinion, Warlock has the most interesting set this expansion.
This set looks super fun!
I really like the art and card concepts of this set. For example, that shark with arms looks dope.

Congratulations to all of the winners! May your packs overflow with an abundance of shiny orange cards!

Spell damage isn't very good, so this card isn't very good. This is probably the worst augment card.
