  • That Bruising nerf is huge. Much-needed nerfs all around. (Shadow Word Void is still stupid and should be removed, though.)

  • Kinda disappointed to get another Druid hero over a Hunter or Priest (or DH) hero, but it's really lovely looking.

  • That Rokara buff is neat. The armor total on Hero cards was an underutilized mechanic (only Dr. Boom, Mad Genius had a different amount), so I'm glad to see them experiment with that.

  • I was gonna support Alliance regardless, but it is kind of a shame. I was like, "I'll pick golden Vanndar and get a free diamond Drek'thar when the event is over! Horde is a shoe-in to win, 'cause Horde always wins this stuff!"

    RIP

  • It sounds like I'm the only person who picked Alliance because I actually like the Alliance.

Whatever. I'll take a victory by proxy. That's the only kind of victory the Alliance is allowed to have.

  • You need 9 mana and your opponent needs to have 12 health in minions on the board to pull that off, so it's not that unfair. You know, unlike certain other cards printed this year that do not require your opponent to have any specific board and can be done on like turn 5 or 6.

  • We haven't seen Tavish yet either, have we?

  • Now, Rune of the Archmage can cast Puzzle Box twice. But Puzzle Box can cast Rune of the Archmage ten times. Puzzle Box superior.

  • Presenting: the worst thing you can randomly roll in Rise of the Zombeasts.

  • The name comes straight from World of Warcraft. It's not meant to be a legendary.

    Link.

  • The beast pool was updated from every expansion. You could see it back in the Rise of the Zombeasts tavern brawl. It's just that the influx of new beasts is fairly limited lately. Deathstalker Rexxar only uses Beasts that have an effect or have a keyword, not both. So things like Teacher's Pet, Venomous Scorpid, and even technically Circus Amalgam are out because they have an ability and an effect.

  • I think it's reasonable to assume they're hidden behind her hair. It's hard to tell, but I'm fairly certain you can see them on the hero powers.

Besides, not every girl has big, noticeable head tentacles.

  • Siamat works exactly like that with Brann. Also, the Bolner doesn't actually trigger Battlercies like Brann does, he recasts them. So, his effect is closer to Shudderwock. Also, Brilliant Macaw doesn't let you pick targets if you recast something like The Lurker Below, so this OTK flat-out doesn't work.

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Bolner choose randomly when he repeats Battlecries? So you may not get the fireball each time.

  • I mean, it's literally a landmark in Alterac Valley.

All of the "Lasts 3 turns" cards are named after AV subzones.

  • This is honestly a ten out of ten arena card. 3 health is an important break point, and throwing down a 6/6 on top of killing a minion is a huge board swing. And in an emergency, it's a 3/3 kill a dude, which is perfectly okay (see Bomb Lobber).

EDIT: Oh, and it can go face. High power potential and it's super versatile.

    Tour Guide's new best friend.

Honestly, it's not even that good. Tour Guide is for cheating mana. You don't need to cheat 2 mana when you have 7+.

  • The Gul'dan one's pretty cool. Maybe I'm just a sucker for Fel Reavers, though.

  • Most liches are the resurrected skeletons of orc warlocks from the First and Second War, which is where their size and dental work comes from. Although, Kel'Thuzad was resurrected from his ashes and still looks like that, so I have no idea how it's supposed to work.

But I believe that is Tamsin. They foreshadowed that she was practicing necromancy in the last Book, and the hair matches hers in the trailer's end card art.

  • "Never fall back!" turning into "Hurry fall back!" got me. Well played, Blizz.
