You do get 100xp per win as well tho, so there is a bit more progression than just the end reward. And you get two trials.
But i agree, the recent cut on the Expedition XP was unwelcome, especially for someone like me, who mainly plays few Expeditions a week and not much of regular play outside some daily wins or quests. I understand why they want to bring more focus to the Ranked play tho.
In Expeditions, you can often have better than constructed decks. Dont think of it as HS Arena style.
The drafting format with alternating Wild/Synergy picks makes this especially potent. Pay attention to what buckets you're being offered, not just the cards. Your first two champion buckets often decide more than half of the cards (buckets) ur offered down the line.
That being said, if you start picking a certain bucket in WIld Picks, you can shift the direction of the buckets offered the more you pick the same one, if for example you just wanted the initial champion for itself, but dont much care about the synergy in its bucket.
Lately, i often gravitate very heavilly towards Frozen Solid bucket when offered as a Wild pick whenever i play Freljord (since it has most Frostbite cards), even tho i might not have started with it. So after a few rounds, it spills over into Synergy picks as well.
I must admit, it took me a few minutes when i first saw this card until i realized how it works (without playing it). The past tense of cast being the same word does make it a bit confusing at first. Yes, it is one of those cards that once played, you will know how it works forever and i guess it is ok, but i can understand the sentiment where FortyDust is coming from.
You cant reroll legendary quests, i mean you can reroll, but they dont work in a same fashion as when double gold or dust event is up for example, sou you cant reroll your regular quests into them, nor can you reroll to duplicate. Just do the ones you have ;-)
Well... I missed out on this. Had a weak draft, ended at 2:3 and now I get the "This Arena will end soon" message and cannot start a run to get the free ticket. Bummer. Did not know there was a transition close period.

I would really like to have a music themed competition where you would have to make a card based off of a song.
Or you could do some other kind of pop-culture type thing where you make a card based off of a movie/book. Or maybe even another game. But I think I would enjoy music the best.
Pop-culture competitions are notoriously difficult to manage, because not everyone has experienced the same things. What if you make a card referencing a book no one else has read, or reference a "classic" movie that not everyone remembers? It's doubly difficult because our website is not relegated to a particular nation. Someone who visits Out of Cards from the United States might have read/heard/watched different things than someone from Norway, England, France, Japan, or wherever.
We had similar prompts in the past at HearthPwn, and they were a bit of a mess :(
Pretty much what Linky said, tho pop-culture references, if done right (in any theme), can be obviously a big plus for the creator and can garner more votes, Blizzard does them too after all.
Shirvala's protection and that one warlock card with Overkill: remove the top 5 cards of your opponents deck were the ones i really liked and i belive had a chance of the finals
That one with discarding 5 cards on overkill was busted as hell, would be pure easy mode from the moment you played it since it was an 8/8 for 5 mana if im not mistaken, so it would trigger multiple times. You would have to be really unlucky for the opponent to have an immediate answer, which most bosses dont.
Players who have an active Arena run when expansion launches will have their current run retired and will receive an Arena Ticket as compensation (plus any reward for current number of wins for that run).
Play out your run to x-2 (x wins and max. 2 losses) if you want more rewards from your run, or just leave it at 0-0 if you dont want to bother playing.
Friendly Neighborhood Gladiator: if you do plan on leaving your run at 0-0, you might as well start two games and concede to two players, getting some positive karma :) You will get the identical rewards for 0-0 and 0-2 score.

A: This is a known bug, arena rewards are actually awarded to you once you finish your last arena game, before you open up the reward boxes. When an arena reset happens, it gets even more confusing because this happens on log in; sometimes you have to restart the game.
People often see (1) pack in their inventory, don't think much about it, open it and then go collect arena rewards only to find out they didn't get anything. But the fact is, that (1) pack on log in was actually the one from the retired arena run. Same with gold/dust, it was already added to your account even before you opened the arena rewards. You didn't lose anything.
Edit: This issue shoudl be fixed now, but i will leave it here regardless.

I like Mark of Dalaran, Amalgamate and Nicky, the Retriever. These three look like they could be real treasures and provide a meaningful gameplay/strategy. The Last Lantern is nice flavor, but it would be probably hard to get it trigger. The rest is kinda meh for me, too strong or too gimmicky. Not saying i dont like gimmicks for PVE content, but these feel just weird. Personal opinion tho.
About a day left to submit, dont miss out! It is a kinda hard prompt, i wont lie, but i am liking what im seeing, some really great ideas! Good job so far :)
The downside of her is that you have to pay 4 mana each turn, if you are ahead, you can surely just close out games with her, but if you have a bad early or your opponent managed to reset the board or get ahead, you will struggle to be able to use her effectively.
Me too. I really wish that was a viable combo in practice, but at 3 HP/ea they both are just way to easy to kill, and at 4/5 mana they are too expensive to YOLO it.
Yeah, the game feels too fast at times. I think it is great, but maybe they could slow it down like 20-30%.

Pretty great bundle for new players who never opened any pack from these sets. If they're lucky, they can get quite a few legendaries.

She is one of the more unique champs for sure.
Definitely a non-issue. Way too big card pool to be consistent.
Could work with hand buffs maybe :)
