I kind of hope DR hunter is a thing. One of the few archetypes of hunter I can actually stomach playing and not feel like I'm giving up neurons in the process.
The take I'm seeing again and again here is that as powerful as Najak Hexxen is in the abstract, he's automatically bad because taking full advantage of him requires playing bad cards like Youthful Brewmaster or Focused Will. This seems like an incredibly bad take.
For one, this reads a lot like the community falling into the Purify trap again. Synergy matters, and with enough support for self-silence or something of that nature then you might see a card like Focused Will rise in value and flip the script on the cost of supporting Najak to his fullest.
But more to the point, he can stall your opponent considerably even without extra support. If you drop him on turn 4 and steal your opponent's biggest minion, they now have to kill off Najak to get their minion back with summoning sickness. So at worst he's effectively a "4 mana 1/4 Taunt. Battlecry: freeze an enemy minion." with a ton of upside if your opponent fails to address him. Played on curve that could easily mean you've just stopped three minions (a couple of 2-Attack minions and whatever you stole) from going face. Seems pretty strong. Toss in the fact that you get pick up extra copies from Raise Dead and Call of the Grave, and can easily generate Focused Will from other good Priest cards and I think you'll be seeing this disrupting a lot of games.
As usual meisterz, you hit the nail on the head. People focus entirely too much on synergy and "ultimate value" and not nearly as much on tempo plays.
This is bad until better fel spells get released. Overall it seems they are pushing locks into fel territory at some point in the future but it's not quite there yet.
When Piloted shredder released. I crafted it in gold. Still one of my favorite cards. Shame that by today's standards, shredder would be borderline bad.
Now this is really slow really awkward and borderline useless in a variety of circumstances....but I love it anyways. Let's hope it at least indicates some nice Beast support is coming our way.
Maybe it could work with a Vanndar deck. Fill one half with removal, the other with big beats, this guy, Leoroxx and whateever else makes sense.
I disagree there. A taunt can effectively act as health gained, control decks already have to slot in defensive tools. This can come out 2 cost cheaper assuming the opponent doesn't play around it by only doing 4 damage per turn.
Eat shit Quest Mage, guess you needed Minions after all, huh?
(IN any other matchup this is just awful unless your opponent literally has no way to just take it out with a 1-drop)
Wouldn't quest mage not care about this though? You either leave it stealthed (where it does no pressure against them) or you go face, and then use Runed Orb to kill it off. Or I missing some thought process here?
The flavor text on the card is disappointing, but I know blizzard can't make any references to the film for ...reasons.

That said, this is a rather weak card overall.
This is a day 1 golden craft for me. Bye bye my dust! Hello Xyrella memes!

You get a restless mummy, and you get a restless mummy! Everyone gets mummies!

In before nerfs (to either this or Deadeye)
So punny
Yuuup

You should name the deck "Big Beast Beatdown
Odd card. Interesting, possibly powerful. But odd.
This is just a worse Stockades Prisoner.

Seems kind of bad. Unless we end up getting hero powers that cost different amounts of mana... more than 2.
Great write up. Pretty much my own thoughts as well. I'm hoping next expansion after AV or mini-set introduces some better/neat choose type cards.
Meh. Honestly Transfer Student's new HK effect seems better than this.

Hefty enough to stick around for more than a turn. Honestly not bad, though I doubt it will trigger many HK's.
seems ok. Not great considering the health pool power creep. That being said maybe it will be useful to hit breakpoints for HK's?
