That's legit! Never played X-COM but I've always heard good things so a $5 buy sounds like a good time.
Definitely give it a try. I haven't played it in awhile but that's because I played it so much :P
I logged so many hours into this game. I'm actually surprised/dissapointed they have not released XCOM3 yet...(Chimera Squad was ok, but 1) not as much fun IMO and 2) felt like an alternate universe/timeline scenario.)
On a unrelated note: I noticed how there's a lack of graphics cards in the above list for PC hardware. :D (I jest, I know that graphics cards are and have been for the last year or two bought and scalped and therefore are just a hard commodity to get in general...)
This card is unreasonably good. The hero power is a huge upgrade on the Life Tap (which is already the best base hero power in the game), and the battlecry makes for a potentially ridiculous tempo swing.
yea which is scary because barring Demon Seed bullshit...taking 2 damage was the only thing keeping warlocks in check. Especially since team 5 decided "eh warlocks need more healing than any other class too!"
Sorry, but salty that a class that was balanced around self-damage has largely had that aspect ignored/compensated for so now they just end up with a better hero power than any other class generally speaking.
Easily worth the price up front, and the hero power is just dramatically better than the default Druid hero power for any combo or control deck, even before you account for the new max mana cap. Auto-include in any deck that wants to go into late game.
Agreed, but the problem I see is that there were no new cards (*except for Ivus) that really need/want any mana over 10. Yes this enables some sick/weird combos but overall I fail to see any 10+ cost support for this particular deck.
The fact that Dun Baldar Bridge works for summon (rather than play) is the only thing that makes me think this card could be good. The payoff wants you to run a token strategy, but the midgame turns are where you want to be cementing your control of the board, so this ends up competing with various Rush minions and buff effects you might rather have for immediate impact. There are some cool combos you could do here (e.g. Derailed Coaster the turn after you play this could be a big board swing, and City Architect could be as a fast follow on this), but those may be too inconsistent.

Brasswing is easy to dismiss as an expensive Consecration that won't net you much value, but I wouldn't count it out. Libram of Wisdom can be a very effective tool for lining up Honorable Kills for Brasswing, and an AOE that heals can end games in a single turn.
I agree that it's being dismissed too easily. But I don't see how Librams will help line up HK's? I think the only HK's it's going to get are from it's consecration-like ability, and because it's part of the card, it can't scale with spell damage. I think the card is fun and decent, but I think getting HK's are largely going to come from setting up your other minions to feed it HK's with it's passive ability, while you smack enemy face with the main body.
I'm waiting to see if we get any future "wild pyromancer" like minions. This seems borderline broken and in wild this is a great 3 mana, 2 dmg aoe that buffs wild pyro.
I know everyone's largely forgotten about spellburst, but this could be a decent way to combo with Wretched Tutor on turn 5 (5 mana combo, deal 3 aoe to all other minions, and buff tutor by X amount)
Could also be paired with Shadowcloth Needle to double dip on the 1 damage aoe.
Could also be amusing used to target watch posts to keep them from being killed off so easily.
Outside of the early access to Vanndar and Drek, I doubt we'll see too much of Drek in the coming months. Vanndar supports big decks (and is practically game winning if played on curve). Alternatively Drek is just an easier build around, and if you don't draw him, your aggro plan doesn't change much and thus is just a much more mundane effect overall.
The problem I have with this card is that instead of encouraging specific builds that maybe do use or don't use the hero, this is just an auto include in EVERY rogue deck (including quest rogue). This just feels....weak from a design perspective (as in, strong but boring effect, not a weak card....as in weak developers who can't come up with anything other than vanish on a hero.)
Also it feels weird for vanish to be rotated out, but then to be reclaimed on a hero. It's similar to my opinion on charge: Why rotate it out, why get rid of it, why create a more balanced version of charge (aka rush) and then re-release charge cards? It feels like there's 2 different visions at work on team 5, and it's a battle on who wins the stupid balance argument of the year award.

Not a bad card. Not a good card. Can be played around. Arena filler, maybe specific niche roles in a few freeze decks but nothing more.

Real truly good big spell support. Big spell will be living large for at least the next year off the back of this card alone.
