I’m interested to see how many quilbor minions make it into the Core set now. Do they add a good amount to go with this theme?! If so, is it safe to assume other inclusions in the Core set will hint towards themes of the next two expansions as well?!?!
I have also wondered the same as at least one other on here: Is the Horde flag a sign that we may get at least loosely connected expansions 1 and 2 that lead to a Horde vs Alliance themed expansion 3 this year?!
Luckily we don’t have much longer for more info. I am very excited to learn more.
I don't know about Love is in the Air. Looks like it's a supposed to be a Valentine's card or something. It's got what looks like stitching on it.
As for HearthS'mores I didn't include it for two reasons: 1) The main portion of the card is a fire with just two marshmallows on sticks near the campfire. 2) It actually says in the description "(Card back not actually edible.)" LOL
I personally don’t keep golden cards unless they are uncraftable or unless I don’t have enough non-golden copies. So my golden collection is basic cards, a few golden epics, and some golden legendaries that were worth keeping.
For the Core set, I am most excited about Basic cards turning into craftable commons so I can DE the golden versions for a total of 14,300 dust. That’s just short of 9 legendary cards worth of dust!
I’m more interested in these “new races”. Aren’t Totems the only tribe not in BGs? Maybe Treants too, but they don’t have an official tribe tag.
So I’m curious... could they be adding things like “Undead”?! Possibly testing some new tribes and synergies for future expansions?! Or maybe even getting a new tribe in the next expansion?!
They missed a few things along the way, but we'll know everything about the Core set and the cards in Classic Mode in about 2 weeks as I think they said that info will be out a few days after BlizzConline (Feb 19-20).
Might be a good idea to raise all your hero to lv.60 to get all the golden basic cards, so you can get extra dusts when they rotated out.
You don't get any dust. You do get 235 cards for free, though
I think what this person meant was you will get dust disenchanting the golden basic cards, which will become commons.
Doing this means you’ll still have the non-golden copies. But 2 golden commons DE for a combined 100 dust. So with two copies of all 143 basic cards in golden, you DE them all for 14,300 dust, nearly 9 legendaries worth of dust!
why oh why did I craft the parrot thinking he won't be obtainable ever again..
I didn’t craft the parrot, but I crafted Murk Eye. My question reading this was “If I disenchant Murk Eye right now, when the achievement is added will I get him back since I have all the murlocs needed?” Wish someone would have asked him that honestly
I hadn’t thought about Xavius. Could they possibly have two versions?! Xavius for all modes other than Classic, but Illidan in the Classic format? I mean, some of these cards are already “mirrored copies” or however they referred to them. Take Leeroy for example. Pretty sure he’s staying 5 mana in Wild but will be 4 mana in Classic mode. So that means he’s technically a different card in Classic mode. No reason Illidan/Xavius couldn’t co-exist (kind of)
You mean to tell me, that I've been holding onto Classic packs for no GODDAMN REASON?!?!?!
To be fair, there was never any goddamn reason, so ...
Wrong! The reason was that I have a full Classic collection and was expecting a Classic set rework, not a replacement via a Core set. If they had gone with a rework, meaning new cards in those Classic packs, I essentially would just get the new cards by opening those saved packs via the new no duplicates rule. If this had been the case, I would then get most of the new cards immediately without crafting or spending $ or gold.
Instead, with today's announcement they are just dust, including the Cairne I opened today. But that's okay too because I now have almost 115 packs worth of gold and over 16,000 dust for next expansion. And still likely another month or more of leveling to collect more gold for packs! So that's nice!

I mean, this is still great news! I'm loving it. But why have I been dealing with this little read notification on my pack opening button if there was no point to it?!?!
Again, very happy about the news, but also pissed... LOL
I’m sure you’re right, and I get it. I also get that he’s responding quickly on Twitter, but his words without more context just irked me and came off wrong. Maybe I interpreted it differently than intended because he’s already said stuff like giving players packs as rewards instead of gold is better because (paraphrasing) “it takes one complicated layer of decision making away”. So I came into the comment already feeling belittled as a dumb player that can’t decide how to spend my gold...
and yeah, I get that was a long time ago, and only Druid really still plays Jades in wild occasionally. But as someone who plays Wild more than Standard I still see them enough to think this way
Spoiler alert: That is his wife in the teaser. It’s the moment right before she is killed!
(Okay probably not, but it could be!)

The two other “edible” card backs not mentioned are Winter Veil Treat and Cake of the Dead.
Curious as to where you heard this?
Thanks once again for the deck spotlight.

It's in the Hall of Fame list. Are you asking what about it as in what was the "buff"? The Elemental tag. That's it
Thanks for the update. Hadn't been clarified when I made this post, but seems I was spot on in my assumption.

I like them all! Except the Annoy-O-Tron back! I find it disturbing...

Right?! Where is his wolf to ride?
