Patch 22.6 introduced the second ever Mercenaries limited-time event, with a series of Task revolving around the fan favorite Leeroy Jenkins and his (mis)adventures with Whelps and other flying creatures. His journey won't be in search of just fame and success, but you'll have to aid him in completing a set of 10 event Tasks, which will reward you coins for Leeroy and many other goodies.
Just as announced back then, the Leeroy Event is going to end on April 5th: in case you haven't already completed all the tasks, there isn't much time left! Luckily for you, we gathered all the possible information regarding each task and created 10 guides, which will easily carry you through each mission. Each guide contains lots of valuable information, such as:
- Information about the Bounty's final boss, as well as its moveset and any other aura effects you should be aware of.
- The best approach to the final fight, as well as any other setup or priority targets you should take care of.
- In case you're required to build your party with some races, a complete list of all the Mercs you can include in your comp.
- Several parties you can choose from, together with tips about each.
- There are budget options too!
- An explicative video created by no less than our Avalon, showing that you can actually get the job done, even if you haven't played the Mercenaries mode that much.
Here are all the tasks that are available during the Leeroy Jenkins Mercenaries event. Click any of the links below to visit our guide for the task.

Comments
Well, considering I haven't even completed all the Barrens bounties, I was pretty certain I would have to skip this.
This event was pretty fun. Looking forward to the next one!
This event was much easier than Chi-ji event, it was really fun and rewarding.
Let's hope they make event like this every month.
If they displayed a "!" notification on Mercenaries mode as much as they do on the shop, I might remember to check my training grounds.
i wanted to realy get leeroy but last time i played the game was when blackrock was the final bounty. basically a bit after they nerfed the air elemental. the grind stopped being fun cause of how exhausting it was whereas the air elemental grind wasnt, which is funny since they nerfed it in order to avoid ppl being bored by grinding it lmao.
so i played it again and reached alterac valley but i just couldnt go more, with time restraints i have and i didnt even reached Onixya lair so sadly im not getting Leeroy. not fun walling this card behind the last bounty forcing us to go through all the others first
Does anyone actually play mercenary mode?
Let me translate your statement: I don't have fun with it, therefore nobody has fun with it.
Nope, literally nobody. I spent hours and hours writing these guides just because I enjoy wasting time. Come on...
i was a strong defender of this game mode i didnt buy the dead mines mini exp and didnt save much gold for alterac valley cause i dumped it all on mercenaries. then the air elemental nerf hit and the game turned into a much longer grind fest, i stopped playing and judging by my friends list i wasnt the only one as they went from more than half playing it to like 1 out of 10 play it. the air elemental mystery stranger nerf really hurt this game mode
I think Blizzard wanted you to play it over a long time. Having fun now just logging in and seeing what bounties to do. Dipped my foot into PvP but got destroyed... But with the new questlines it's more like timed achievments. And it is more fun doing the later bounties. But had a 2 month break before chi-ji event.
To be honest, lord banehollow grinding isn't really all that different from air elemental, with the added bonus that the coins you get from retiring early can actually net you legendary coins rather than the usual rares.
The average number of fights per stranger attempt is about 2, 1 if you're really lucky. If you're using a fire team, you can demolish each fight in one turn, which is the same as air elemental's creeps.
If there's any reason why anyone who has previously grinded strangers would drop this game, its the fact that mercs is a shallow game overall. You can get away with alot doing nothing but queuing the same thing over and over. In fact, the most efficient teams in mercs tend to be just that; doing the same shit over and over.
Personally, I play it occasionally but also often forget the mode exists. Same goes for Battlegrounds though.
More than you'd think. Wether it's as a main mode, a routine to grind the daily tasks, a way to kill off a couple minutes or to experience the regular bounty additions.
