Hearthstone

Hi there guys. So, the meta is slowly forming and I want to gather your guys opinion on the highlander Mage deck (especially appreciate if you played it).

The question I want to know:

• Is it viable in ladder?
• Is it fun to play?
• Is it worth crafting?

Specifically this one, because the highlander mage is butt ton of dust and feels risky. Right now Mage archetypes is third winrate Mage(53.71), after Control mage(55.25) and Big spell(54.69), so my question is mainly about Reno the Relicologist and Zephrys the Great.

Do you feel this cards could carry the archetype? Do they bring unique fun experience? Maybe you got some other opinions? Would really appreciate your opinions =3

Sometimes I feel like I'm onto something, but am a crappy deckbuilder myself or lack the cards. So, I call forward all of you skilled players to mess around with good ol' Spiteful Summoner. I played some games with spiteful priest and King Phaoris was a nasty addition to hit those big spells we draw early. Especially, try a Khadgar with Spiteful. Maybe... highlander spiteful mage?!

I recently watched this video about the most interesting (and probably the most powerful) card of this set and wanted to share it with you, people. Some things Kripp says are kinda obvious, but most of them are very informative. To anyone out there who hasn't watched it yet, enjoy!!! :D :D :D

So did anyone try double quests yet? I know you can't use 2 at the same time, but what if you mulligan one away? For example, you could use Raid The Sky Temple and Waygate's. First complete Sky Temple, in wild it should be quite easy, then you find the other quest as a second win-con. Or something like that.

Also, you could complete Hunter's first quest and then throw an Unseal The Vault. I dunno. Just think of the p o s s i b i l i t i e s.

I guess everyone here is familiar with the concept of power creep, that is when some new cards are strictly better than some old cards. I won't give any examples because this expansion has plenty and it's easy to find some.

What is less talked about is rarity creep. That is, when card effects previously printed as epic or legendary are now printed on cards with lower rarities.

Here's what I mean:

I feel like this is a problem. Since the transition from 1 to 2 legendaries per class per expansion in 2017, legendaries (both class and neutral) have become more specialized and specific (Zilliax and SN1P-SN4P are recent exceptions), while in the past legendaries were more versatile and those that were good were auto-includes (think OG Dr. Boom). Nowadays however legendaries are often the foundation for an archetype, and most decks need to contain specific legendaries to be viable on ladder, which means that new/f2p players need to focus on legendaries for a specific archetype that often won't be used elsewere. So they're stuck with basically one deck.

What do you think? Is it a problem for you?

The Burning Legion has returned! The Dark Portal has opened and once again the forces of darkness seek to conquer the world. My idea for this set started by wanting to create a legendary demon for each class and expanded from there. Warlock has always had the most demon synergy, but now the other 8 classes will have their iconic mechanics twisted by the dark influence of the Void.

The set is nearly complete, only missing a few neutral commons, rares and epics. I appreciate feedback on this stuff.

New Keyword: Burning Burning minions slowly destroy themselves, using their own bodies to fuel their fel magics and powers. Weapons can also have the burning keyword, they lose durability instead of health.	Pre-Order Hero A new hero skin for hunters, Illidan Stormrage!
Pre-Release Event: The Dark Portal Opens! A week before the release of Invasion of the Legion, all players receive a free legendary card, Medivh, the Accursed! Now all classes can tap into the twisting nether, drawing power at the cost of their life. And now that the Dark Portal is open, Warlocks can begin summoning all sorts of new demons! All players also recieve two golden copies of the new common, Open the Dark Portal. Not only are they golden and the demons created golden, but starting with this release event, they will create new Demons from the set before it's full release!
	Single Player Content: Rain of Chaos! Rain of Chaos is a new single player survival mode. Similar to Dungeon Run, Rain of Chaos puts a twist on the format by condensing it to a single match Survival Mode. The objective: last as many turns as you can against unending enemy bosses and their decks. Defeat a single Demon Boss and another immediately replaces it! For beating each Boss, discover new cards to shuffle into your deck. As a reward for beating Rain of Chaos with all 9 classes, you get a free Legendary minion, Isaac the Acolyte. Similar to Whizbang the Wonderful, Issac will give you a random premade deck recipe, picked from 1 of 9 different demonic decks!

Druid

Xavius, firstborn of the Satyrs, uses the demonic influence of the Legion to twist the trees  into evil forms.

Themes: Treants, Satyrs, Poison, Lifesteal

Illidan the Betrayer leads other demon hunters against the Burning Legion.

Themes: Stealth, Rush, Limited Windfury, Weapons

Kil'jaeden the Deceiver has empowered his Blood Elf servants with great power.

Themes: Casting spells with Health, Empty Decks, Mana Crystal stealing/destruction.

Lothraxion, a redeemed nathrezim, leads the forces of the Army of Light against the demonic invasion.

Themes: Weapons, Imprisoned Demons, Divine Shield

Priest

The renegade Voidlord Dimensius has empowered his servants with dimensional shifting magic.

Themes: Deck Shuffling, Card Copying, Minion Copying/Stealing, Strange Removal.

Tichondrius has corrupted the goblin prince Gallywix. Together, they plot and scheme to overthrow the morals of Azeroth.

Two renegade observers, the fleshwarper Collidus and the legendary pirate Patches,  have teamed up to undermine the demonic invasion. With a crew of warped and freakish servants, they will unleash chaotic magics on unsuspecting demons.

Themes: Amalgam type minions, devolution, overload synergy, RNG chaos.

Warlock

Archimonde, master of the Burning Legion, leads the invasion of Azeroth.

So there's the standard brawl.  We poor folks need to play in that too, any ideas for a deck with little uldum cards?

I received the golden Hunter Quest and because I hate aggro and hunter, I don't plan on using it.

How are Zephrys and Siamat working out? They're the big two on my want list that I'm curious about, but I'm holding back for a few more days, as Paladin Quest potential shenanigans have my curiosity.

So, we're a few days into the expansion. Of course a lot of decks are still being refined heavily but looking at hsreplay just now surprised me. The meta archetypes tab in particular: https://hsreplay.net/meta/#tab=archetypes

The only quest deck with a positive winrate is the paladin one. Obviously half of the quests were quite obviously going to be meme tier at best. But quest druid and shaman not being able to hit an average winrate of 50% or higher baffles me. 

My assumption why only Uther's quest seems competitive would be because quest paladin destroys the 'strongest' deck right now, control warrior. With a whopping 76.8% winrate no less. Whereas all the other decks stand no chance against good ol' Garrosh. Even quest shaman with its near infinite value seems to be no match. 

What are your thoughts on why this is the case? Do you think druid, shaman or any other quest deck can still climb to a positive winrate?

Hearthstone is heavily based around the lore of the WoW universe, does this incentivise you to try it or had you already played it before starting Hearthstone? 

For me personally, Hearthstone introduced the Warcraft universe in an interesting way leading to me playing the game on a regular basis.

Hi guys. As you may have seen in the salt thread I got fucked this opening. I am also on holiday so unable to play around with all the new stuff to work out what is good.

This leaves me with many desirable quests, legendaries and epics to craft but I know that shit is super risky right now.

I know some of these are definitely not going to be good long term cough Octosari cough I was just looking at my gaps in the set and will prioritize the best ones to craft.

Hello fellow OOC People Sirkartoffel here.

I have been playing the game since Nax and I am enjoying what the team is doing at the moment with the last 2 expansions. The game is becoming fun again and I am able to climb to the ranks between 4-2 each month now. 

here is my question: "Does any body know how many players there are in Hearthstone right now (August 2019)?"

I am curious because I have begun to see more streamers leave Hearthstone and venture to other games (LoL Autochess as an example).

I have looked online and the only number I could find was 100 Million back in November of 2018. 

Do you think that the number is increasing? or do you feel like Hearthstone is not releasing any numbers to hide something (or nothing at all) from us?

It would sadden me to see Hearthstone's player base dropping as I really do love this game.

Hey Everyone, just thought I'd come on here and share my rediculous deck. This is a modification of Mech Hunter that has been fantastic for me. I took it from rank 13 to rank 5 with exactly 3 losses. 

... rage quit more than any other class? It seems that the people who play a lot of hunter (this is usually golden hero Hunters) are more prone to rope or rage quite if they start to loose the game. Is this your experience?

Does it tilt you if some waists your time this way instead of conceding? Or, do you just tell you self that you just ruined someone day enough to make them rage quit?

I'd have to say mine is Vulpera Scoundrel.

After playing it in my Casino Reno Mage I quickly came to love this card.  The art and flavor are great and the card itself is pretty good.  Being a cheaper, neutral Ethereal Conjurer and having the fun "Mystery Choice" as a fourth option makes the card even better!

Anyone else noticed that the reborn shield (active) on a minion who has been frozen is confusing? I had two reborn minions next to each other, missed that’s one had been frozen and didn’t notice it until I tried to attack. Then I could see the animation was slightly different, but not clear like most animations.

So I was wondering if Golden Scarab is better for one class or the other. Just got a draft option with Paladin, this is the complete list of Paladin class cards you can get (you can also get neutrals, but class cards are favored):

There's only 2 bad (conditional) cards in there, and at least 4 awesome ones. Feels very auto-include to me.

When the henchman falls asleep after it’s already been on the board for a turn, it cannot be silenced so it can attack, is this intended?

Hi all.

So I was casually playing my thief priest deck in wild, until I faced an opponent running a wild version of the Bazaar Burglary rogue. Fast forward to the moment, when they played Tess Greymane - she cast Naturalize on herself and ended the battlecry instantly. Now, it might be just a Mandela effect. I admit, that I didn't pay too much attention to the game, because I was only trying to have fun. But when Tess Greymane was played and the aforementioned thing happened, I became kinda suspecious. I am almost 100% certain, that my opponent played a bunch of cards from another class before Tess and those didn't appear after she died.

Does someone have this legendary, in order to see whether Tess Greymane works as normal?
