I'm really enjoying this brawl so far. I must admit that I got my pack like most players, with a token deck (Even Shaman variation). But after that I tried to make a counter-meta deck and it is doing great for me so far: (6-1 if I counted correctly)

Did anyone do anything really crazy? I have the feeling that some non-obvious combos should exist, but I haven't seen anything spectacular yet.

After much difficulty, I managed to use Amazon coins to buy card packs and get a 15-20% discount from buying it bulk. 

I still have quite a lot of amazon coins and my intention was to buy slowly as the new card pack offers from Blizzard came out. 

But it seems the amazon coins can only be used to buy the in game card packs, not the card pack offers from the Blizzard shop directly (i.e. it seems I cannot use my amazon coins to buy from Blizzard shop)

Is my understanding correct?

If so, is there anyway I can still utilise my existing amazon coins for any new card pack offers from Blizzard store directly?

I am loathe to charge money to my credit card again when I have quite a lot of unused amazon coins lying around in my amazon account.

Please advise me step by step.

On a separate note, because I did not start Hearthstone since its inception, I wanted to buy back one of the old adventures. (blackrock mountain) --I still do not have my Ragnaros and I am getting pelted everytime in Hearthstone by the fire god.

I realised I cannot use amazon coins to buy the old adventures too because they are found exclusively in Blizzard store? Is my understanding correct? Please also advise. Thanks a lot.

I've created 6 decks here since joining the site, and as far as I can tell, not one of them has been viewed even once. I'm not saying my decks are so amazing that everyone should be upvoting and commenting on them, but I was hoping for at least a little feedback, suggestions, etc. How do you get your decks into the spotlight? 

Also, there are achievements related to this, and I love me some achievements.

Hey guys, 

For the past days I'm trying to run different versions of highlander hunter (always with the secret package), but cannot locate the perfect one for standard. Win rates in 50-52% at max and I'm stuck on rank 5 and cannot advance any higher. 

What would you recommend to read/check videos in order to understand how to play with this deck better? Maybe you know the ideal Highlander Hunter deck?

EDIT: Apparently Wild Pyromancer reads 'cast', whereasUnseen Saboteur reads 'play'. Personally, I never thought there was a differnce

I was playing a tweaked Control Shaman against the new fashion style priest (Heal/OTK etc).

I played Unseen Saboteur against him, when he had a 3/1 Wild Pyromancer in play.

Notea that the former says that you force YOUR OPPPONENT to play a spell, whereas WP says 'After YOU PLAY' a spell (...)

I know that this interaction is 1) rather rare 2) as intended (I assume)

BUT:

The wording is not correctly reflecting the outcome and if I'd been a new player I would be confused. So please change, I guess? XD

Hello all,

As the title states I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with unlocking Arthas (Beating the Lich King with every class), using  the Uldum standard set. I started playing again this year, last time was during season 1-3, so I have literally zero wild cards and don’t waste dust if I don’t have to. 

I have tried google and the real only advice I have seen is to try murlocs or the below. Which idk what the decks would fully look like, besides a pogo rogue.

Priest (Dragons + Inner Fire)

Hunter (Spell Hunter + Mossy Horror)
Paladin (Young Dragonhawk + buff + Secrets + small taunts)
Rogue (Pogo)
Druid (Jade)
Shaman (Eggs)
Warrior, Warlock and Mage (Alarm-o-Bot + big taunts/minions)

Any any advice would be much appreciated.

Beaten quest hunter, aggro rogue, and some kind of mage (not sure if highlander or big spell) so maybe it can be decent?

I think you should consider deleting the salt thread; fresh start and all that.

I'm optimistic that humanity has evolved and it's not really needed anymore.

I hope that tag line got your attention to open this thread.  I am wanted to see what other players feel about a sentiment that I have regarding Casual play vs Ranked.  I am very much a casual player, I think the highest rank I've ever attained was 7.  With that in mind, whenever a new set is released, there are a number of cards that I would love to try, but I do not want to commit to crafting.  Thus the title of this thread....

WOULDN'T IT BE NICE IF... there was an option to be able to theory craft a card and play it in a deck to try it out and see if you want to craft the real thing.  Something like... TheoryCraft this card for 100 dust and it is good for 10 games.  After that, it disappears and you either say, "Well, that sucked.  Guess I'll try something else." or, "I am totally going to craft that Golden!"

What do you all think of this idea, or what WOULDN'T IT BE NICE IF... ideas do you have?

At the early point of each expansion, I want to try so many new decks, but I always end up going through the same routine:

1. Spend a while creating a new deck
2. Queue on ladder; get annihilated by an aggro deck
3. Queue on ladder; get slowly murdered by a control deck over 20 minutes
4. Rage-delete deck
5. Cycle 1-4 ad infinitum

Now, all usual responses aside (git gud etc.), I'd like to know how long other players stick with a deck before they decide to refine it or just make an entirely new one. Especially at the early stages of an expansion cycle.

In short, gimme your tips on how to stay focused on one deck. Cheers!

late last night I was messing around with some a wild warlock when I stumbled across the dread steer + defile interaction. I know dreadsteed was changed but I found some videos pre-nerf

anyway, I got the idea to try a knife juggler + necrotic geist OTK in wild after seeing Hysteria’s video. 

So, the combo is as follows: Summoning Portal, Knife Juggler, Necrotic Geist, 2x Deathspeaker, Defile, Summoning Portal Tuskarr Fisherman. As long as you get 4-5 discounted it’s fine.

You drop Emperor hoping to discount the deathspeakers, defile, and Geist. The combo takes advantage of the discount from Emperor while also getting a 2 mana Summoning Portal discount. According to the HS wiki, and is consistent with Hysteria’s video, this combination can produce 0 cost minions, as the Summoning Portal effect is applied first and then the Emperor one. Basically, you’ll be playing the 2 and 3 mana pieces for free....or so I thought. You drop the portal, geist, then juggler. After that, you give immunity to both juggler and geist, and apply +1 spell power to either. Casting defile after this creates a loop with Necrotic Geists effect that will kill your opponent no question. Although defile can cast only 14 times, it’s way more than enough for the number of knives being shot. 

I’ve set this up three times and Summoning Portal will not make the minions cost 0 even with the Emperor combination. If you read the wiki and watch the video, you’ll see that the minions cost 0. I watched the video a few times now, and I don’t see any other way he could’ve gotten 0 cost minions. Looking at his discounts, he only managed to get a single tick. Each time I set this combo up, none of the minions will cost 0. I know Summoning Portal is supposed to keep minion cost at 1, but the wiki states that when used with Emperor, the minions will cost 0 if they cost 3. Again, this is what happens in Hysteria’s combo, but for some reason my minions aren’t behaving this way. 

I can’t find any evidence that the way these card interactions has changed or been patched. The only thing I can think of it is that blizzard silently changed it to prevent another OTK. 

a lot could be said about it. I tried some variations, giggling inventor works better (because conjures calling works well on the 7-cost) than flamestrike.

Hearthstone does a great job of showcasing characters, abilities, and weapons from Azeroth, but one thing I would like to see included are the amazing locations. I've been trying to come up with how to turn this concept into a card type, but I need some help. I call them "Strongholds" and they would be spells that would pop up on your secrets "frame" around your hero like quests do, giving some kind of defensive or offensive bonus, and requiring some kind of special action from your opponent to bypass or destroy. The issue is that they can't have too hard of requirements to bypass or they will automatically win against any deck that doesn't have the cards to meet requirements. On the other hand, they have to be powerful enough to be worth playing in the first place. I'd love to hear some ideas out there. I want to capture the fantasy of taking refuge behind a wall or in a magical temple that will help you in a battle.
