While we probably won't be making Nozdormu the Eternal proud with our speed abilities this time around (I believe that's at best a solid 7 in Mercenaries terms), we can at least make a plea for forgiveness by keeping the esteemed tradition alive. If you've logged into the game today, you should've already seen such reminder come up in the form of a special daily task - provided your Quest Log wasn't completely full. And if you are just rushing in from work/school for the day, in true Nozdormu fashion, then it will still be there waiting.

It's been a fairly eventful month for Hearthstone that is only about to get a whole lot busier with various expected announcements to come, but for today we are just taking a moment to recognize our lovely bronze dragonflight representative in this ongoing Nozdormu Day for November 15.

Let's Hurry Up

Nozdormu the Eternal remains as part of the Core set, always there when you need to practice your speed Hearthstone skills:

  • As long as you have one quest slot open come server reset in your region on the 15th of each month, the Nozdormu quest will replace your regular quest of the day. It grants a lot more bonus XP, making it a worthwhile pursuit!
  • This quest can also be rerolled away for a typical lesser one, if you really can't stand it. But Nozdormu will be very sad, and you will lose out on your precious Rewards Track XP.
  • In order to be eligible, simply remove a non-crucial card from one of your favorite decks and replace it with Nozdormu the Eternal. It's not like anyone remembers to switch back after they're done.
  • Queue up for a game with your 'new' deck, in any relevant game mode of choice.
  • Hopefully encounter another player with Nozdormu in their deck and have fun playing 'Speedstone'!
  • You don't necessarily have to complete the quest as soon as you get it (it will actually remain in your log until refreshed), but there will likely be far fewer people trying to do the same later in the week.

We're recommending that you choose decks that aren't reliant on long combos or multiple actions in general (but hey, good luck with those Garrote plays if you are so inclined). Hearthstone animations can last a small eternity these days, so using minions with basic effects or casting simple spells will do wonders for maximizing your 15-second turn time. Although if you are proficient at thinking and clicking very fast, you could get more mileage out of the usual 'complicated' decks.

You may want to try the Casual mode to not only prevent any potential Ranked losses, but to also increase your chances of finding an opponent with Nozdormu the Eternal on the other side of the mirror. It's no fun without a suitable swift partner! Or you could join our cast of the brave and the reckless and keep trying your luck on the actual Standard or Wild ladder (or even Duels). Time efficiency and two birds with one stone - Noz would be proud.

The quest only asks you to play a deck with the card included, which means that winning is kind of optional. So just queuing up 3 games and letting them run their course will do the trick as well, for anyone too busy or unwilling to see the Nozdormu theme through.

Why is the 15th of Each Month Nozdormu Day?

The 15th of each month is Nozdormu Day because it is a reference to the 15 seconds that each player has to take their turn when Nozdormu the Eternal is present in both decks.

It comes with the official PlayHearthstone blessing, although they also seem to have forgotten to officially recognize the theme for this month. Must be really busy preparing those next expansion reveals.

Nozdormu Day Decks for November 2021

We've put together a few Standard decks that may be handy if you are trying to complete the quest while actually attempting to get ahead on ladder or elsewhere (or simply have some fun). But our dear Nozdormu the Eternal remains very flexible and will fit anywhere you want it to!

On the Wild side of things, you have 'only' just got about dozens and dozens of potential options depending on your card collection. A couple of months ago, one of our community regulars Trimutius has shared the following take in which Nozdormu the Eternal actually plays a role that goes beyond simply being there for the quest requirements.

We've had this special Nozdormu quest for bonus XP for a while now. Do you keep taking part in either Casual or Ranked every 15th day of the month? Have any favorite deck that is most suitable to be graced by Nozdormu the Eternal? Let us know in the comments whether you've had any luck queuing into other Nozdormus in any game mode!
