It makes sense, considering the deck already has quite a number of removals.
As for the additional trap, i think it is either a 2nd Wandering Monster, or a Venomstrike Trap, depending on the meta being more token or big guys. Or Snake Trap for some of both.
Aaand there we go with another Tempo-ish Highlander deck. This thing actually convinced myself I will insta-craft Zephrys the Great, and maybe Bazaar Burglary too.
I am trying different cards, including Sunreaver Spy for the same mechanic. And the spy tbh is crap in this deck, extremely clunky. I expect hyenas to be much better due to Beast tag (Houndmaster is literally a monster) and multiple bodies.
It also possible i will have to adjust the deck with more Secrets, for this synergy to be consistent enough.
So, you can now see it in my signature, but here's a list I hope I can try. It's a Reno Mage, with Quest package for meta purposes (nowadays any Control deck needs to include a strong wincondition). Not sure it can actually work, but maybe, with some refinement.
On a vanity note, I am not a fan of the new cardbacks.
In particular, the cardback about my namesake looks too metallic, I wish it had more stonelike features or vines, to make it look more gothic... Oh well!
I seeeriously hope i can drop Zephrys the Great in packs. It's a card i'd really want to try, but given my Wild commitment, I'm also scared it might be a waste of dust. So dropping it would be the best occurrency, leaving me with more dust for other crafts. On the other hand, there's no expensive safe craft for my Wild purposes, so all in all, it might still be a win-win situation for me...
As for the rest, it's been a while I don't play Standard, and I feel the new expansion is gonna carry so much change as to lure me there trying some decks, ie I'd love to try Quest Druid, Priest, Rogue (and then try and adjust them for Wild too).
Ok, so, after facing so many big priests, I got depressed and just quit using control decks (in fact now, I only seek aggro/burn decks if playing ranked, which kind of sucks), although Reno decks are so fun to play with...
How do you guys plan to counter this cancer with these control decks? (I'm not trying to be offensive, just being pragmatic) I mean, just one or two polymorphs are not enough, drawing treachery+doomsayer is not always feasible, and Raza was nerfed...
Maybe the new Zephrys guy with a more midrang-ish deck would be possible?
Fair point. Probably just concede and move on. If have tried teching for Big Priest, but it's just not worth it. The match is still boring to play, it's still not a garanteed win and your deck is going to perform so much worse against other decks.
I don't think there is a card in the basic or classic set that Zephrys can pull out that does the job either.
Soon there will be: transform every minion into a random murloc. Sadly, that's not a neutral card, but there are many shamans out there.
Hopefully, this can hurt Big Priests a lot.
But Zephrys only pulls Basic or Classic.
Anyway, other than Big Priest, QMage is also another Control killer.
And i bet Secret Mage is bound to emerge even further in population.
Overall, the Control route is extremely narrow in Wild, and i don't see this changing any soon.
I always had unconvinced opinions about the whole downvoting system, in any portion of the website, because it is sometimes used to bash people, while i give it's also useful, in average, to kinda educate the users to polite and constructive behavior.
But forcing people to post pretty much kills the whole purpose of a fast and anonymous reaction.
At that point, it's just better to remove the button.
If the system was used in a constructive way, I think it would be fine - the problem however, is that anonymity breeds negativity on the internet (usually).
An example of this can be seen when a new card is revealed and someone posts something innocuous like “I like this card.” And then gets a dozen downvotes because it wasn't the card that some other angrypeople wanted. There’s not much there in the way of constructive criticism and the poster can feel victimised just for liking a card - that sort of thing can drive users away out of fear that voicing anything positive will be mocked or hated, seemingly without reason.
I totally agree, which is why i am unconvinced of downvoting as a whole. There is an upside, but the downside is probably just as strong.
But forcing a comment feels clunky. Yes, it would prevent some toxicity, but probably it would also generate more spam, or simply drive away users because of clunkyness.

It is right, and it is no bug: Vargoth casts when your turn is over, so with Time Warp, he actually prepares an additional turn when your turn counter is already past the 1st turn, already on the 2nd one - hence making for 3 consequent turns total.

Baku the Mooneater
Another Beast that costs (7)+

From Wild perspective
Top 5:
Notable mention to Anka, the Buried, even tho I don't see it making DR Rogue any better in Wild.
I don't know about worst, as usual there will be many useless cards anyway. I can' be bothered to select 5 of them, sorry. xD
I would craft him if i knew for sure they will update him forever with new Standard decks, even after he'll be rotated out.
Just to toy around with Standard, sometimes, even if Wild is my main mode.
Without that knowledge, i deem it a bad dust investment for my own playtime as a F2P.

You're welcome, hope you enjoy it.
Yeah exactly! Same feeling. Too bad.

I guess it is one of those things that devs tend to call "a feature"...

Basically the Mage version of Astral Druid?
The only Quests i'd receive gladly (because i'd try to make them work in Wild to at least average wr) are Priest, Druid, Rogue.
All the others are either uninteresting to me, or sadly meme tier (especially in Wild).
But Zephrys only pulls Basic or Classic.

At that point, no downvoting is is best solution.
Ah, i see the point, yes. OTK as an option, but the deck is focused against Aggro, it makes sense.
Well, even better, since i do not own Beardo haha!

This is only a contextual nerf to Sonya.
She's still a great card in Rogue, including Odd Rogue: if we want to be fair, she's more real there, than QRogue in the meta.
Surely the contextual nerf hits The Caverns Below itself very hard, and a refund for it would make sense.
But not for Sonya Shadowdancer: ie I have Sonya, but no Quest, and i would benefit out of nowhere from a change that is irrelevant to me.
