Compared to Twitch their drops system is terrible!  I mean, at minimum couldn’t they have alerts built in to say you earned a drop?  Just throw it in the notifications drop down! (I know!  I’m complaining about free stuff!)

Overall I just think YouTube as a game streaming site is bad!  Hopefully this deal Blizz made ends soon.

I love those friends!  They are the best!!!  I'm sure though if you faced the same people now they'd just be happy you weren't playing APM Mage.

The perfect opportunity for alternate art was with cards like Giggling Inventor.  Basically, if a card summons a specific token that is an old minion, why not summon it with alt art just because?  The Annoy-o-Tron could have been depicted as being at Boom Labs.  Same with Jan'alai, the Dragonhawk.  The Rag could’ve been the same card but art showcasing him at the Gurubashi Arena.  Then, give players ways to unlock these bits of art and a way to choose what version theyput in a deck.

Account is connected, definitely watched at least 2 hrs today.  No notification on YouTube.

I know the pack can take time to arrive but shouldn’t I at least get a notification that one was earned?  Not sure, never tried getting YT drops

Was thinking about that just today.  Maybe Classic remains as a mode that's always available and they have a second "Classic" mode that rotates through different Standard metas of the past.  Naxx, GvG, etc

Not a bad idea although at some point that becomes clunky. That said, my personal favourite meta by far was Ungoro, so I'd love to have that available

So the reason I was thinking this would be their best option, obviously the Classic format will get stale, so they'll need to change it up.  But because so many people invested time and money into their Classic collection they will likely want to keep that as an option that always exists.

So the next thing they could do is something like Classic WoW where you get to choose to progress expansions or stay back.  Or rather for Hearthstone you just pick which expansion's meta you want to play in and have different queues for each option.  But doing this could thin out the player pool a little too much.  If they do this they may need to put indicators on the selection screen to say how populated the queues are, similar to how they do with WoW Servers when picking on.  But this could be super clunky, so it'll likely be more what Hearthstone Year you want to play in to try and limit thinning out the player base too much.

The last option was what I was thinking of.  To prevent all that clunk, and to not thing the player base too much, rotate each month or so between past metas.  It could go by year, or standard metas from a certain expansion release, etc.  The constant change can keep the Retro Hearthstone mode feel fresher as you won't face the same 9-12 decks all the time like you are going to see in Classic mode.  And it gives players a chance to relive some of the old days and play some power house decks from the past in their original forms.

I would like to see them eventually put in a feature for friendly games where you can just choose what card sets are available.  To try and have this experience in a friendly environment or if someone wants to set up a friendly tournament.  And for something like the Expansion Showdown that Solem and Dekkster are doing they could limit the random card generation to only legal sets in their games.

I am also a big fan of having a "Limited" constructed mode that rotates sets along similar to how Arena has been doing, maybe also changing up what Standard and Wild sets are available each month or so, but that might just be a me thing!

I've dusted mine by now. If Blizzard decides to do anything at all. The most they can do is remove the dust from our accounts we got from dusting. If they decide to remove the other copies of Murk-Eye and Parrot reddit and twitter will blow up again.

There was no mistake.  Pretty much certain they intended everyone to get it if they met the requirements, even if they already had one.

I've been enjoying Classic mode, but I worry about its sustainability as a mode.

End of every turn could be really good, but it depends on how quickly you can empty the deck, and how much (self) damage you took in the process.  Also, playing the archetype at all will depend on if you drew Neeru or if he got burned off the top of your deck.  But in this scenario, as soon as you reach that point of the portal opening the game just becomes a face race.  I mean no one would trade if they understood imps summon end of turn so they can attack immediately.

Start of every turn might be okay.  If the board is cleared the 3/2s that you get start of turn can’t attack right away.  So the opponent could make smart trades to limit damage even though the board will just refill, while also sending some damage face to let the Warlock fatigue or set up a lethal against them the next turn.

With what it is right now I think the portal can win some games, but they will be more meme worthy games unless there’s something we’re all missing.  Maybe future support is coming to restock your deck, similar to Espionage or Archivist.

Self Mill Warlock seemed really good to me just reading Neeru’s text, because it says the portal fills the board “each turn”.  I took this to mean the same as “every turn” similar to Gruul or Kel’thuzad.  If that was the case the six 3/2s summoned at the end of your opponent’s turn could attack at the start of your turn.  But watching theorycrafting streams looked like it’s just at the end of your turns.  So it’s nowhere near as strong as I first thought, and may in fact be too slow depending on the meta.  But we’ll see.

Was wondering about this and decided to not play yesterday or today to avoid completing any quests accidentally.  Glad I wasn’t saving them for nothing.

I love that these seem to have a bad card that someone was like “I’m going to make this work!”  That’s like me with Val’anyr!

Made a version of Handlock on my alt account just because I felt it would be the best option to play my golden Lord Jaraxxus that I have on there.  I knew not dusting him while he’s been totally useless for so long would pay off some day!

I also got a second Murk-Eye this way but I didn't even look, I just clicked the Mass DE button.  Just to double check, I still have my Murk-Eye.

Showing two in the DE list of cards by rarity might have been a visual bug.  But now I actually have the little dust bottle all animated by the Crafting button like I have extra cards to dust, but I don't!  So either they updated that to always by animated like that, or clicking Mass DE has caused me to have a persistent visual bug now.

I'm sure they'll address it soon enough.  No big deal until then.

The fun side of Classic is playing Vanilla HS.

The down side is that the meta was solidified back in 2014!  Doesn’t mean you can’t still deck build and try off meta stuff.  But it does mean a lot of players will just play the most OP list from 2014 they can find/remember.

Go here and set up a gathering for the pre-release weekend of Mar 26-29.  I've done it before and just set the location to my house.  Since the only option right now is a private gathering you shouldn't have to worry about strangers seeing your event and showing up at your place.

Then once you are in the event you set up you can open them.  You might be able to access them a little earlier than the event start time too as gathering hosts can get into the event ahead of time to make sure they set up the network they intend to use for the event, etc. But as long as you set the time for some time during the pre-release event you should be fine.

Oh nice!  Guess I'll be short a few goldens until I get a few more DH wins, but set on the rest.  Thanks for the update.
