Ah yes, that classic Deathrattle Priest that randomly gets support once in a blue moon. I remember when Chillmaw was occasionally run, but at least that thing had taunt.
Even if you put Reborn or Shadowy Figure into the mix it'S still a pretty slow and unreliable "boardclear"
At best I'd run this in some weird Deathrattle/tempo build where the focus isn't so much board clear but board denial (noone's gonna go wide while this is in play.
Still, at this point Priest has enough decent Deathrattle minions, but no real gameplan. What do I do with all these guys? There's no N'zoth, no Amara and no actual win condition.
The main thing is that Doomsayer is more useful later on, when you play him after a boardclear to set up an empty board for the next turn. This however only deals 5 damage, which some decks can still play into.
Not to mention this is much hard to just play as is later on against aggro decks, because dealing 5 damage is usually easier for them.
It does have some use in Mage though, as an extra Doomsayer for a Freeze combo.
I think the fact that you don't HAVE to build a deck around it is what makes it strong. As long as it doesn't interfere with your gameplan you can just jam it into any deck and if just play it if you roll something good enough (or if you just need some tempo)
OG deathwing is only considered terrible because he's just strictly inferior to regular Deathwing (5-mana doesn't matter if you discard your hand) and Loti is terrible because she transforms into her poorly statted forms, but still costs 5-mana, which makes her useful in only a handful of specific situations (in which you will most likely lose anyways)
The classification is a bit wonky, since technically any outcome is dependant on whether you can affor to play it in the current situation. In reality I would have to make a seperate list for each Shaman archetype.
I mainly based this on the average situation you'd find yourself in on average (which is why Togwaggle is rated "great" since I assumed in most cases one would be using a deck that has access to lots of lackeys)
Well its twice as good as the original...which is in accordance with the overall feel of the upgrades in my opinion. But I miss some spells like Pyroblast? Why isn't that on the list.
The list contains only basic spells, not all Classic ones.
I wonder why they would do all the basic mage spells, and then one random common one, it doesn't make much sense to me.
maybe because they couldn't make a powerful version of Mirror Image (like what could you do with that? summon 4 images?). I guess a 1-mana Cabalist Tome seemed to be a much more interesting idea.
I don't think every class will go full dragons. Dragons are still relatively slow and value oriented. This basically just makes sure you have a gameplan that doesn't just get run over by faster decks.
I'm more worried that Dragons will be the gold standard for lategame/control decks for the next year.
Like, why would you play something like Mech Control Warrior when you can play Dragons and Thaurissan your deck twice consistently.
I guess we'll see it in practice and I assume that dragon decks in general won't get that much more support in the coming year, so it should even out.
This makes basically every Dragon deck playable. Hardmulligan for this, probably win the game afterwards. Why is this a 5/4? this should at best be a 4/4.
All you need is a large enough amount of dragons in your deck and this will ALWAYS be huge.
You don't even need some crazy combos. Just having access to something like a 3-mana Crazed Netherwing is already nuts.
Other fun stuff: 3-mana Waxadred for combo shenanigans, Dragonqueen Alex on 7, Ysera Unleashed on 7, Zerakku on 6,
and of course, the most important of all: 0-manaFaerie Dragon
as you can see, the results will rarely be unplayable, sometimes pointless and more often either great or situational (which usually ranges from pointless to great depending on the current situation).
This is basically Prince Keleseth with no deckbuilding restrictions and vanilla stats. That's kind of ridiculous. LIke....get this on turn 4 and probably win the game ridiculous
Have fun losing to this card out of nowhere because some Shaman was smart enough to include a card that's at worst a decent play when you have nothing else to do and at best wins you the game on the spot.
Chillmaw likes to say hi.
I too remember the oppressive turbo Chillmaw meta of '86

Eh, I liked it better when it was called Duskbreaker
Paladin gets a Druid card
Hunter gets a Paladin card
Hunter gets a Shaman card
what is class identity
I thought every explorer class would get 3 dragons?
Not really sure about Dragon Hunter now. It doesn't really seem to have a coherent theme
Guess we're not gonna spend a lot of dust on neutral epics
it's just not as good as Doomsayer.

Please...never use a closeup of Lifedrinker again, I beg you.

Take out Brightwing and maybe replace her with Dragonqueen Alex (or just a Mortal Coil, either way she's pointless, even as a dragon)

Excuse me?
This is basically Prince Keleseth with no deckbuilding restrictions and vanilla stats. That's kind of ridiculous. LIke....get this on turn 4 and probably win the game ridiculous
Trump said it does always cost 5.
Wording is also consistent with Flobbidinous Floop (who does the same thing essentially)
I'm not complaining, I'm just participating
All you people sleeping on Bandersmosh.
Have fun losing to this card out of nowhere because some Shaman was smart enough to include a card that's at worst a decent play when you have nothing else to do and at best wins you the game on the spot.
At least Trump sees the potential
This might actually make Shuffle Rogue viable finally.
Waxadred is the most obvious choice, but this is also good for stuff like Pogos and whatever meme you can cook up with Shadow of Death.
It is however going to be hard to just play this on curve...unless Pogos I guess.
I wonder if a Galakrond Shuffle Rogue might be the way to go. Or maybe Dragons wth Candlebreath
