Eh, just a tech card. Really interesting one, though. If every any deathrattle deck grows out of control, I expect to see this in the meta. Otherwise, it won't see much play.
Such a great card. I can see this being an auto-include in almost any kind of Warlock archetype: Zoo and Darkglare Warlock could definitely use this as a reload option, and slower Warlock decks could probably slot this in too since card draw is always welcome.
OP card, will see play in a variety of fast Warrior and Rogue decks. As others have said it's basically a stronger Tinker's Sharpsword Oil: way easier to activate, and cheaper to boot. Might get nerfed in the future.
I reached level 50 and took the Nightslayer Valeera portrait. I'm playing a lot of Stealth Rogue at legend right now, it's doing pretty well, and this new skin makes the experience even more satisfying. Valeera just looks fire!
I hope they make the hero skins available again next expansion cycle, I'm planning on taking Gul'dan next. Or hopefully they introduce more portraits for us to choose from, I'm not really fond of the cartoonish styles of the current level 50 portraits.
Time to farm for as much gold as I can so I can do away with spending real money on this game!
Look, I really want to play Wild regularly. I've crafted some of the important cards needed for the mode. But really, 90% of the decks I face are absolutely triggering or just plain broken that the whole experience just deflates me.
I played a few games in Wild today, and here's the decks I faced, in order: Secret Mage, Secret Mage, Big Priest, Reno Warlock, Even Shaman, Secret Mage, Secret Mage, Reno Priest, Secret Mage, Reno Priest, Secret Mage. The other day wasn't any better.
Seriously, I wanna clock in the head anyone who says Wild is a much more fun mode than Standard. You're full of sh*t. There's even less variety in Wild than there is in Standard, and there's way more decks that will leave you salty and helpless. F*ck Wild.
I accidentally hit legend with Blood Rez Priest! I say "accidentally" because I wasn't planning on making a push this season, I just wanted to enjoy the Diamond 5 ranks. Unfortunately (or fortunately?), I went on a 5-game winning streak when I was at Diamond 2, with my last opponent getting disconnected lol. Oh well.
Anyway, it's a pretty fun deck. I got the list from Dekkster, it's your normal Rez Priest with Blood of G'huun added in. It's decent against Shamans and Rogues, although the Tickatus Warlock matchup (and sometimes Zoo) is absolutely miserable. I had a game when I managed to get 4 Mass Resurrection from discover cards and I still lost. But I still had some fun games (like copying your opponent's Rattlegore below), especially if you're a degenerate like me who somehow enjoys playing a resurrect deck (as long as it's in standard, I don't like the utter degeneracy of Rez Priest in Wild hehe).
I thought of this as well, but I'm pretty sure I visited the pages for BOTH copies, I saw those two when they turned up in the search results. Which is why I'm really confused right now.
I did it, 1000 wins with Warrior! Not really my favorite hero portrait since there's not much animation in it, but I'll take it. I've been maining the class since 2018, but my play rate of it suffered last year because I was focusing on Demon Hunter. I love this class to death, and I'll always be a Warrior main.
Here's my current status with the rest of the classes. I'm really just a four-class player at this point (Warrior, DH, Hunter, and Paladin), though I've dabbled with some Shaman decks in Wild and toyed with the Rez Priest from Galakrond's Awakening. I've been playing this Highlander Tempo Secret Mage in Wild which has upped my wins with the class, but as you can see I really don't like Mage lol.
Once I get DH to 1k wins, I'll start playing more Warlock decks, and maybe some Druid. I just need more dust to craft the cards I need for Wild.
Thanks to you two, I managed to solve the remaining MTG clues! Here, have some snowballs.
Also, there has to be bug with the "You get to choose which part of Santa's list you're on" clue. I already visited that page a few days ago, but I didn't get the notification that I solved it. Now that I visited it again, I finally got the notification. What the hell? I'm pretty mad right now lol
Boggspine Knuckles is really the only problematic card in Evolve Shaman. Nerfing Cagematch Custodian to 3 won't really help, so the weapon has to be the one that's hit. Either up its mana to 6, or reduce it to a 2/2 weapon. I'm more partial to the second one: a 5-mana 2/2 seems fair given how strong its effect is.
Rogue will (should!) probably be hit with nerfs too as a pre-emptive measure, similar to what they did with Dinotamer Brann. I don't know what they can target though, maybe Foxy Fraud?
The problem with nerfing Rogue and Shaman is that it'll give rise to DH again. Aggro and Soul DH are still lurking, albeit in weaker forms.
So I decided to give the nerfed Soul Demon Hunter another spin, and guess what? It's still pretty good. It still farms Evolve Shamans despite the delayed board clears (went 4-1 against them today). I just teched in Kobold Stickyfinger to annoy them even more lol. It feels good to beat up on Shamans again, after days of constantly losing against them.
I'm currently at 977 wins with Warrior, and 845 with Demon Hunter. I had hoped to get those two classes to 1k by the end of 2020, but unfortunately DH got nerfed heavily so I couldn't grind with the class that well anymore.
I'm still playing Bomb Warrior on ladder, but it's an unfortunate casualty of people teching in Kobold Stickyfinger in every deck, so it's a bit hostile out there right now. Nerf Evolve Shaman now, for the love of God!
Congrats to the winner! While I like the 1st place one, I'm absolutely in love with the 2nd and 3rd placers (the Wrathion and Pandaren Druid). The 3rd place artwork would make for a great Druid hero portrait :O
Best card of the mini-set, I think. Such a solid card.
This will enable some broken combos that will enrage a lot of players, calling it now. I mean, Mozaki, Master Duelist and Archmage Antonidas are still in Mage, together with Sorcerer's Apprentice...

Great card, will definitely see play in some DH decks. The pool of outcast cards is very few at the moment, and you'd be more than happy to find more than half of them: Skull of Gul'dan, Eye Beam, Consume Magic, Crimson Sigil Runner, Dreadlord's Bite, and Spectral Sight will be incredible finds off Illidari Studies. Meanwhile, DH's other outcast cards that are never used might finally see play: Star Student Stelina and Glide will absolutely annoy some opponents when discovered and used against them.
Moreover, the outcast effect will be in play once you pick an option. One of the best cards in the mini-set, imo.
The entire mini-set being available for 2000 gold would be huge. I hope it's true.

I ain't scared of all your snowballs.
Ah what a lovely day, I hope no one hits me with a snowba--
