Welcome, fellow achievement hunter.
Ever since the introduction of the rewards track, each expansion has always brought us a handful of achievements to complete in order to gain more rewards: while some of them are relatively easy to complete, some others may take some time or a proper set up. In case you're wondering what's the best way to gain all that sweet sweet XP locked behind Fractured in Alterac Valley's achievements, do not fret, as we have the answer you're looking for!
In this guide we'll focus our attention on the Alterac Valley Priest achievements (here's the full list of all the Alterac gameplay achievements) and provide at least one way to complete each of them so that you'll be able to get closer to the end of your reward track.
Disclaimer: as always, all expansion achievements can be completed in Ranked Standard, Ranked Wild, Arena, Casual & Heroic Duels and Classic - Casual Standard, Casual Wild and Tavern Brawl will not count towards your hunt! Moreover, we'll always take Ranked Standard as the default game format for our strategies: if we happen to have some strategies or particular interactions belonging to other modes to highlight, we'll be sure to specify it.
In case you're still deep in your achievement hunt, worry not: we prepared a guide for each class (and neutrals!) for you to take inspiration from, so that you'll be able to complete them in no time for those sweet sweet XP points.

Alterac Priest Achievements Overview
Priest received a reasonable set of achievements in Alterac: even though some may look a bit grindy, there's nothing impossible or particularly annoying to achieve since you don't have to play off-meta to get your XP. We'll get more in detail in a bit, but for now we have to say that Anduin received one of the best achievements sets of the expansion.
Edit: updated with the Onyxia's Lair Mini-Set "Future So Bright, Gotta Wear Shades" achievement.
How to Complete the "Gesundheit!" Priest Achievement
Requirement: Give 200 Attack to minions with Bless.
Speed Rating: ?/5.
Disclaimer: the achievement is currently bugged, but still doable. In order words, you need to give a minion 200 Attack in a single time, just as the achievement were to state "Give a minion 200 Attack with Bless." The achievement is now completable.
This bug is pretty amusing: completing Gesundheit! in the correct, bug-free way would probably take some time, but we can actually exploit this bug in our favor and get the XP ahead of time. The achievement is eventually going to be fixed, but in the meantime we'll provide two different guides: one for the one-shot bug scenario and one for the bug-free one.
Let's start with bugged Gesundheit!. Standard doesn't have Divine Spirit, so it's impossible to give 200 attack to a minion in that format. Wild, on the other hand, seems to be the right place to do so! In order to get there, we're going to dust off our APM skill and have some Test Subject shenanigans. Don't get discouraged: it's not as hard as it looks - you just need a decent Wild collection!
Here's what you need to do in order to get there:
- Have a hand made of Test Subject, Topsy Turvy, Divine Spirit, Bless and either 2 Radiant Elemental and 2 Vivid Nightmare or 1 Radiant Elemental and 3 Vivid Nightmare (courtesy of Shadow Visions).
- Play Test Subject.
- Play Radiant Elemental(s) and copy it with Vivid Nightmare until you have 3 copies of it.
- Three copies of Radiant Elemental are required because you'll need to cast Vivid Nightmare multiple times for free.
- If you did things correctly, you'll still have another copy of Vivid Nightmare in hand.
Now that you set up all you need, it's time to execute the combo and complete the achievement:
- Cast all the copies of Divine Spirit you have on Test Subject.
- Cast Vivid Nightmare on Test Subject and then Topsy Turvy on the summoned 0/1.
- Repeat step 1 and 2 until your original Test Subject has 200+ Attack.
- Cast Bless on Test Subject.
If you want to wait for Gesundheit! to be bug-free before starting your XP hunt, the best way seems to include Bless in a Miracle Priest list and hope your opponent doesn't play Devolving Missiles. Bit by bit, you'll get there.
- Have both Sethekk Veilweaver and Nazmani Bloodweaver in play.
- Summon additional copies of them thanks to Gift of Luminance and Psyche Split.
- Once you have the usual mana-cheat engine going, concentrate all your buffs on a single unit and then Bless it.
How to Complete the "I Will Remember You" Priest Achievement
Requirement: Trigger 50/100/200 Deathrattles with Xyrella, the Devout.
Speed Rating: 2/5.
Slow Priest strategies are the way to go if you want to complete I Will Remember You as fast as possible. The key component to get the job done ahead of time is Amulet of Undying: pick every copy you manage to Discover from tools like Renew and Trade it until it summons 7 Deathrattle minions.
As you may have already experienced on your own, Xyrella, the Devout repeats identical Deathrattles, so having a full Amulet of Undying destroyed will add 7 progression points to your achievement!
- If you own Korrak the Bloodrager, you may want to include it over Vanndar Stormpike in order to grind its Neutral achievement.
How to Complete the "Salvation Army" Priest Achievement
Requirement: Summon 30 minions with Deliverance.
Speed Rating: 3/5.
Deliverance is a generally playable card, without a particular place in which it shines. For this reason, there isn't a specific deck we can recommend you, but on the other hand there isn't a no-go list either. Therefore, our sincerest advice is to include Deliverance in every Priest deck you play (and achievement hunt) with, and you'll eventually get the XP.
Sure, Honorable Kills are hard to get, but 30 isn't that high of a number and Deliverance can target friendly minions too! Below you'll find the Miracle Priest and the Deathrattle Priest we featured for Gesundheit! and I Will Remember You: take out whatever you don't feel comfortable with and play some ladder.
- Requiring you to get Honorable Kills, Salvation Army also progresses the related neutral achievement.
How to Complete the "Future So Bright, Gotta Wear Shades" Priest Achievement
Requirement: Summon a 4-/7-generation Mi'da, Pure Light.
Speed Rating: 4/5
The key to this achievement is keeping in mind that not only you need to draw Fragment of Mi'da 4/7 times, but it also has to be a Fragment coming from the same Mi'da, Pure Light. Therefore, shuffling multiple Fragments at the same time will only be detrimental for you own gameplan. Shuffle one, and one only.
- Wild format note: Shadow Visions may be a good inclusion in this deck, but not for picking Fragment of Mi'da - this spell would duplicate your Fragments, making your job more difficult than it already is.

gentlemen i have a problem I just startedabd I just got the kazaaksun card im playine priest every time i play it, it goes foggy red but no tresure im a missing something?
Foggy red? What do you mean? Could you please send us a screenshot?
Is there any replacement for Vivid Nightmare? I don't think wasting 800 dust for a 200XP is good.
Nvm. Found out you can use Gift of Luminance, and just Shadow Word Pain the Test Subject. Longer but works.
why topsy turvy on the summoned test subjct? Doesn't simply kill him?
Indeed: that's the whole point.
Yes, but by killing him with buffs on, you receive additional copies of the buff cards. The idea is to stack up the additional copies of Divine Spirit on the first Test Subject until the health is over 200, then hit the original Test Subject with Bless.
Wow, you're really pushing out these achievement guides fast this expansion Avalon, keep up the good work!
Not gonna lie: it took me quite a lot of work is a short window of time, but I am glad you folks are enjoying it!
