You don't have to get to 12 wins in order to win, but I had to write the rules in case more than one person will get to 12 wins - we don't really want people arguing over that.
To be fair, someone could win the challenge even with a 5-3, as long as no one does better.
That Illidan skin is sick! I wonder what this Boy chapter will talk about, since we already know part of Illidan's story thanks to last year's Prologue.
Greetings everyone, and welcome to the submission thread of the first episode of our brand new Duels series: Master Duelist.
General Information
This challenge will begin today, August 10th, and will end on August 31st. During this window of time, you'll have to start a Duels run with a starting deck including Y'Shaarj, the Defiler and 3 other Corrupt cards of your choice, being them either class or neutral cards.
Everyone who'll post proof of a 7+ wins run in this article's comment section will be awarded with a different amount of gold, an in-site currency you'll be able to earn from different activities and that will be used to purchase cosmetics in our in-site shop.
Submission Rules
In order for your run to count towards the challenge, you'll have to provide an appropriate proof of your feat; otherwise, your result won't count. To be precise, you will have to reply to this forum thread including:
a picture of how your run ended;
a picture of your starting deck;
a picture(s) of your final deck.
any other information you want: even though it's not necessary, it may help other players or generate a discussion!
Remember that we have to make sure you actually played following the rules, so please help us in doing so - disqualifying players feels bad, and we'd want to avoid it if possible!
Challenge Rewards
Here's a quick breakdown explaining the rewards you'll receive based on your performances:

Moreover, who will obtain the best score in the least amount of will also have the chance of suggesting the next challenge's theme!
The winner will be contacted through Direct Messages, where the next challenge's theme will be discussed. In case no one will be able to hit 12 wins before the deadline, the next challenge's theme will be decided by none less than Avalon himself.
Time Criteria
Those which follow are the time criteria we'll use to determine the winner in case of identical scores:
An Heroic run will be considered more difficult than a Casual one, therefore Heroic players will have the priority.
If you get the best score overall with a 10-wins run in Casual and somebody else gets a 10-wins run in Heroic, the latter will be the winner of the challenge.
In case of more people getting the same score, the winner will be decided by the submission time.
If more players will get to 12 wins, losses will count as well: a 12-0 will be considered better than a 12-2 or a 12-1.
You could get the highest score on the first day as well as on the last day of the challenge, but if someone submits the same score before you do, then they'll be the winner.
Closing Information

The card says "Play 3 cards with Overload" and not "Overload your Mana Crystals three times", so my fair guess is that no matter how many minions Perpetual Flame will kill - Command the Elements will progress only by one.
Big Guardian Animals support for Hunter: it only took an entire year, but it's finally here.
The Tradeable keyword allows you to reshuffle I[Hearthstone Card (mported Tarantula) Not Found] in case you drew it before turn 8, which is huge. It doesn't really matter that it doesn't have Rush, since Guardian Animals itself will provide it.
I really like Team 5's effort to push Hunter away from the usual Face gameplan.
Even though the chance of getting vanilla 2/2s is pretty relevant, the good outcomes should make up for it most of the times. Moreover, if your goal is to use those 5-drops for a Boggspine Knuckles... well... it doesn't really matter, does it?
Thanks and good luck for the next runs: I genuinely hope you'll be able to at least get to 7 wins, so that you'll be able to gain some gold!
Hey, you're the guy from Reddit! Congratulations for your run and welcome to the site :)
I'll update the leaderboard with your score.
For those interested in trying that Miracle Priest, here's the general information
Passive Treasures Chosen
First pool - Divine Illumination
Second pool - Rally the Troops

Honestly I am pretty impressed someone was able to hit 12 wins this fast - definitely well played!
Rogue was a class I didn't consider optimal, but I am glad you were able to prove me wrong :)
For those who would like to give dib's deck a go, here's all the info you need.
Passive Treasures Chosen
First pool - Meek Mastery
Second pool - Battle Totem
Congratulations again for your noteworthy result! Let's see if someone will be able to do better!!
I deeply appreciate you kind words :)
I hope you'll be able to have some fun, as well as to reach remarkable heights during your runs!
Thanks! Me too: I am very eager to receive some community feedback about this initiative.
It goes without saying that, if people are going to like this kind of content, more will come in the future.

I feel you badly: in fact, if I were to comment on a general Duels patch and not on that single tweet, I would've probably talked about Bruising.
We're not saying that Meek Mastery is going to be nerfed, but rather that the devs are keeping an eye on it.
Congratulations!
Well that was an extremely good result: well played
Yeah, I hope Rogue will get something different: it's the class I've been enjoying the least in this Duels season.
Finally we'll be able to guarantee the Frenzy out of Kresh, Lord of Turtling without the risk of it being removed with a single swoop.
The card says "Play 3 cards with Overload" and not "Overload your Mana Crystals three times", so my fair guess is that no matter how many minions Perpetual Flame will kill - Command the Elements will progress only by one.

Oh, my bad: you're right sir.
Edit: oh God, that's some serious cycling!
A bit expensive, but the effect... wow. 2 card draws guaranteed, and at least 3 4 more if your opponent doesn't deal with it.
There's a serious chance people will mill themselves from time to time lol
The highroll potential (see Jandice Barov) will pretty much always guarantee at least a couple of good outcomes - let's do the math:
Good outcomes - Greybough, Twilight Runner, The Rat King, Trampling Rhino, Teacher's Pet, Aegwynn, the Guardian, Mozaki, Master Duelist, Carousel Gryphon, Aldor Truthseeker, Priest of An'she, Fortune Teller, High Abbess Alura (debatable, but let's include her in this category), Earth Elemental, Inara Stormcrash, Ras Frostwhisper,Totem Goliath, Void Drinker, Envoy Rustwix, Stonemaul Anchorman,Mor'shan Elite, Tent Trasher, Doctor Krastinov, Scrap Golem, Burning Blade Acolyte, Gold Road Grunt, Barrens Blacksmith, Taelan Fordring, Gurubashi Berserker, Overlord Runthak, Stranglethorn Tiger, Razormane Raider, Moonfang, Fleethoof Pearltusk, Ogremancer, Lake Thresher, Steward of Scrolls, Headmaster Kel'Thuzad, Ruststeed Raider, Al'ar.
Bad outcomes - Soulshard Lapidary, Zai, the Incredible, Menagerie Warden, Druid of the Claw, Barak Kodobane, Blood Herald (even though getting it as a 2/2 would actually be a buff lol), Ethereal Conjurer, Firework Elemental, Keywarden Ivory, Cannonmaster Smythe, Lothraxion the Redeemed, Darkbishop Benedictus, Temple Enforcer, Dark Inquisitor Xanesh, Lilypad Lurker, Mistrunner,Shattered Rumbler, Felsoul Jailer, Neeru Fireblade, Shieldmaiden, Ringmaster Whatley, Faceless Manipulator, Shadow Hunter Vol'jin, Derailed Coaster, Optimistic Ogre, Vectus, Lorekeeper Polkelt, Waste Warden.
Even though the chance of getting vanilla 2/2s is pretty relevant, the good outcomes should make up for it most of the times. Moreover, if your goal is to use those 5-drops for a Boggspine Knuckles... well... it doesn't really matter, does it?
