Hearthstone is adding purchasable decks to the game through a new shop item called "Battle-Ready Decks". Here's everything we know!
- A battle-ready deck costs $19.99 USD.
- Each account can purchase 1 battle-ready deck.
- Buying a deck will level the associated class up to level 10 if it isn't already level 10.
- Battle-ready decks are available in the Hearthstone shop for two weeks from the time it is added to the shop.
Additionally, you should know this about battle-ready decks:
- Decks will not be available right away when an expansion launches as they want to let the meta settle in a bit first.
- The one purchase per account may be a limited-time thing. They are still figuring out the long-term strategy.
- Any cards in the deck you already have copies of, will grant you extra copies that can be disenchanted.
- No nerfs are expected for cards in the decks, at least for now, but full dust refunds will be available for nerfed cards should it happen.
You can read Blizzard's full post down below and if you want to see what each of the decks contains, we've got that below the blue post. Be sure to let us know if you're planning on picking up one of the decks!

FAQ
- Why can’t I buy a Battle-Ready Deck when the expansion launches?
- We want to make sure we preserve the exploration phase of each expansion when everyone is trying out new and interesting things. We won’t be offering Battle-Ready Decks right after an expansion launches because the meta always needs time to settle at first, and we need time to analyze the resulting data to determine which decks we should offer.
- Why can I only buy one? Will more Battle-Ready Decks become available for the next expansion?
- We're trying this limited run now to gauge community interest before we decide how expansive this should be.
- How long will Battle-Ready Decks be available after they start showing up in the shop?
- A Battle-Ready Deck will be purchasable for two weeks after it’s been listed on the shop.
- What happens if I buy a Battle-Ready Deck but I already have most of the cards?
- You’ll get those cards again as duplicates, which you can choose to disenchant if you’d like.
- There are Core Set cards in these decks, will I get those cards again?
- If you already have the Core Set cards in a Battle-Ready deck, you will not receive them again. If you don’t, purchasing a deck will automatically level its associated class to 10, unlocking all the Core set cards in the deck list.
- What happens if cards in my Battle-Ready Deck are nerfed?
- We always do our best to plan around potential balance changes. As such, we’re not expecting to nerf any of the cards offered in Battle-Ready Decks at this time, but we will extend the usual full dust refund to any eligible impacted cards if it happens.
- I did not have an open deck slot when I purchased my Battle-Ready Deck, where is it?
- It’s possible you may not see the Battle-Ready Deck in your deck list if you did not have an open deck slot when you chose your Battle-Ready Deck. If this happens, don’t worry! You will still receive all the cards from that deck. If you would like to delete one of your existing decks, you can then navigate back to this page and use our deck list. From here, you can copy the deck code to automatically assemble the deck in Hearthstone.

I think it's an attractive possibility for new or returning playes, but not so much for active ones.
Does anyone know what happens to Mankrik? Because he's technically not Core, but everyone gets a free, non-disenchantable copy. Will I just get a useless copy? (For example, if I were to buy the hunter deck)
you would get an extra version you could dust.
Yikes, many of these decks are not even good in the meta.
Really? 20 bucks?? WTF
Certainly Blizzard is in dire need of dough... the problem is that there will always be people who don't know where to throw their money... they will be tempted by this bait and will fall into the trap.
Actually, the price is really good. For $20 you get 15 packs which nets you less than one legendary, here you have 2-4 curated legendaries.
I must correct you. 20 bucks is the price that costs 20 packs and two Legendaries (like the bundle that was on sale until a couple of weeks ago).
There is not excuse: these purchasable decks are clearly overpriced, specially taking into account that most of them are not too competitive, that almost everyone at this stage already has most of the cards that compose them and that many of those cards cannot be disenchanted.
You can't buy any bundle right now.
Also, two specific legendaries are better than two random ones.
I'm not sure for whom this offer is made for. Not for f2p, that's sure. But people who are spending money may already own most of the cards.
I bought the big pre order + battle pass and the only legendaries I don't own in those lists are the ones I disentchanted because of nerfs: Jandice, Kargal + Solarian.
I think they are trying to target people who don't like to buy preorders but rather spent small amounts of money over time and don't already have a complete collection.
If I wasn't banking almost 70k dust I might have been interested because the Warrior deck would give me a lot of cards I don't have.
Essentially you're able to buy the legendaries you want without spending your gold or dust which you'd want to save for future expansions.
It's just that the price tag is so high that I doubt anyone would ever really consider this unless they're just extremely loaded and just started to get into the game.
I'm really drawn to the Hunter deck, but I already have two of the legendaries, so I am going to get the DH one.
Huh, I crafted a Warrior deck that is extremely close to theirs.
For most of these lists I already have half of the legendaries and epics, so spending $20 for 1 or 2 new legendaries, about 3 epics and maybe 1500 dust is not super attractive. It would be better if you either get a discount if you already have some of the cards or get dust compensation for duplicates that is higher than the usual disenchant value.
I am considering the Priest deck though, since I don't have any of those 3 collectable legendaries yet.
I do think it's an improvement that players can now buy cards and know exactly what they're going to get, instead of having to open what are essentially loot boxes.
I nearly own all these cards so to me this isn't very helpful. It's still awesome though since now I don't have to pull my phone out or leave full screen when finding a deck to build lol
20 bucks, and if you happen to already have those legendaries then its 400 dust each.
Kinda steep honestly. Best value for returning players, maybe. But for those already playing to some consistent degree chances are good you'll already have at least one of those legendaries in each of those lists which will make buying any of them vastly poorer in value, unless duplicate legendaries instantly refund you that 1600 dust.
Also its 20 bucks, so the value is somewhere around 20 packs of the current expansion + 2 random legendaries. I don't know if these buy-able decks can top that.
The FAQ says "You’ll get those cards again as duplicates, which you can choose to disenchant if you’d like.", so you'll only get 400 dust per duplicate legendary.
A great solution would be to give duplicate legendaries as golden copies. Players who like bling could keep them, while other players could disenchant them for 1600 dust.
limited to one per account.
is it one deck Only or one deck From each classes ?
I don't understand why you got down-voted but fixed it for you.
I was wondering the same btw. Because "one deck from each classes" could also be possible, so that people can't abuse the system in the future - to buy 1 deck many times just because they could "buy dust".
"1 battle-ready deck" seems not good... if you are a returning player, you might actually want to buy few decks... and you can't because Blizzard set such a rule for now.
One deck only.
20 bucks for one deck seems extremely expensive. I'm not buying it unless they add a gold cost, and even then I might not bother.
