I am in a good mood! I drafted a mage [Hearthstone Card (Mecha' tun) Not Found] deck and won 3 games with it. First game I just won on board with Flamewaker cannon.

Opponent resigned in hopeless position also having burnt their N'zoth (oopsie).

Second game I actually could play the combo; eventually lost board control against an espionage Rogue, but he kept focussing on my minions did not see it coming and bang. OTK. Nice!

Third game I managed to deal lethal damage with Flamewaker using just lots and lots of cheap spells...this card is the nuts.

hit top 200 legend for the first time, and it's in a month where ladder matters more than the last few so that feels kind of good.  pretty early in the month too not sure if that is better or worse.

This morning I traded Play a Friend quest and for some unknown reason, it also triggered the event quest to play an arena game for 200 golds ! Still have my free arena ticket, and cleared up my quest board in one game ; that was both effective and lucrative.

Hohoho got two legendaries from the card pack rewards from Tombs of Terror. Two shit ones, but one is golden so I'll take it. Quest Rogue looks fun anyways.

I played the infinite quest druid with Elise and Balefull Banker but a quest shaman grinded me out till i lost the combo to necessary tempo plays. I was left with 3 health, a couple Zephrys, Floops and Bankers with no cards in my deck. In some desperate atempt i froze his fully evolved board and shuffled another Zephrys into my deck.

The guy played The Stormbringer and got an Octosari with one card left in his deck!! He didn’t survive the turn despite full health! 

To think some still follow the darkness...

Two of my dailies were "play 3 games as X class, X class and Rogue"

Made a weird miracle deck with Togwaggle and proceeded to win 4 games in a row.

Was a good night for Hearthstone

Every time I win vs Quest Druid when playing Tempo Rogue. THAT's a pepper moment! Every Single Time.

I had some fun with that new card that duplicates one on board, put one in your deck and one in your hand. Well.

I put it in some OTK mage deck with lots of dragons like Malygos, Kalecgos, Alexstrasza. And facing some slow resurrect priest was able to use Galaxy spell, and suddenly I have a 1 mana Malygos and a 1 mana Sathrovarr and 2 frost bolts in hand.

Well. All of a sudden it was game over :) Priest never saw it coming.

In another game I was able to do the 3 dragon combo with a 9-mana Alex, 0-mana Kalecgos, a 1-mana Malygosand a Pyroblast that was free. That is a total of 38 mana that was discounted in various ways to 10 mana :). Nice. But needless to say, I also lost a lot of games against aggro.

Yeah I've had some pretty good luck last 2 days.

Won a DoD bundle giveaway for 60 packs 2 days ago which I immediately claimed on my EU account.

Today I won another one which I used on my NA account.

Asia account will have to suck it :)

Playing dragon combo priest in wild casual to complete quest.

Opponent is reno warlock.

Trying to draw while playing around the usual things, but opponent plays geist on 6.  Opps that a problem for me.

Play around godfrey on 7, try to control board.  He has godfrey but I made sure I'd have something on board.  OP plays voidlord on 9 and though I have Mass Dispell, or void ripper which would kill it, I can't play these yet as now it's my only win condition due to giest.

His voidlord kills my cleric, and doesn't hit my 3/6 dragon. 

I have 1/4 in for lethal as I'll be getting 2 cards next turn (of 8) and I proceed to silence his void lord, buff my dragon, void ripper it and hit him for 24 for lethal - completing my quest!

He/she adds me and I tell him well played mate but before I can tell him I was lucky and ask how his deck is doing proceeds to express a view finding zero skill in my plays, comparing my luck to that of a deity (who presumably don't need any) and expressing a preference for a short life expectancy on my part.  I wish him "Have a great day :P" though this doesn't seem to lift his/her spirits.

Despite this, I've found these kind of encounters rare these days - especial in wild and even more so in casual, so don't let it put you off making new friends!  Hopefully opponent won their next game and will have a better day.

Just had a battlegrounds game as bartendotron (Other options were: Giantfin & Patches). Bad start, Internet cut out so i had to relogg with my 4G. (was on Mobile btw) During that time i went from 38 hp to only 4 hp... Then i somehow managed to get multiple triples in a row. Managed to barely tie a few games as well. Went beast considering almost everyone went mechs. I even managed to beat up the newly buffed Mukla that was in first place for about 10 rounds in a row and made him lose his first bit of hp. It was a struggle but in the end i managed to get to top 2.

In the last seconds of the tavern round, i managed to barely get my hands on a golden mama bear & (That poisonous tavern 6 beast) and now i had to win with my beast against the Mukla who had 2 GOLDEN hyena's, a Golden 40 health poisonous, taunt & divine shield amalgam. Typical golden Rat Pack & golden pack leader. It was a struggle, but i managed to win barely with just a single 8/2 rat from my own rat pack.

Basicly never give up no matter how hard it gets! Even if you get a "Bad" or "Decent" Hero in battlegrounds. Just because you didn't get a top tier hero doesn't mean you cant win. Never Give up, Never concede!

Currently having a blast with Reno Burgle Rogue and Reno Paladin (both are homebrews built with (6) as curve top). Both have fair chances against current Wild cancers.

In particular, i am absolutely in love with Mojomaster Zihi. The troll lady won me so many games for which i wouldn't have had enough Value/impact.

Hopefully, the new expansion will bring some decent Dragon package to fit in those two decks.

So everybody is playing shaman, including me. But guess who is the only one who can't win a single game?

Had a very amusing & cathartic "when BMing goes wrong" game:

Me playing Dark Pharaoh Tekahn Lackey Warlock; them playing netdecked Evolve Quest Shaman. Were we in Casual? Of course we were - why would the deck that's SSS Tier & 30% of the meta stay on the Ladder? But I digress.

The back and forth went on for most of the game, with my opponent both randomly roping for no apparent reason while also emoting after virtually every sizable play (I don't really Squelch because I find it amusing). By about turn 9 I only had 3 HP left - they had about 10. Despite having lethal on the board, they chose to fully trade wiping out my board, BM emote, and not finish me off. The next turn I emptied my hand and threw some face dmg at them but still they had lethal and 2 HP. They once again cleared the board, BM emoted, and didn't finish me off for a second turn in a row. The final turn, I topdeck Sinister Deal so I'm hoping for a Kobold Lackey but alas it wasn't offered. So I choose Ethereal Lackey instead looking for some kind of face dmg spell. The only one offered? Hellfire.

So I happily took the draw denying them the win. See you in hell(fire) you netdecking, BMing degenerate.

Oh and as a sign from RNGesus that this person was a blight upon humanity: Part of the reason I was able to stick it out to that end was (which I have now seen with my very own eyes) Mutate on a turn 5 Mogu Fleshshaper gave them Hir'eek, the Bat. Lovely.

Got 3000k dust from the nerf and now ready to craft some goodies. Been wondering should I make dragonqueen or should I make dragonhoof for battle.. 

So I realized I had some spare gold aside from what I'm saving up for the single adventure (f2p, btw) and decided to buy 10 DoD packs, all at once.

Got Waxadred in my 1st, Bandersmosh in my 2nd and Frizz Kindleroost in my 5th pack!

My daily quest today is Druid, Rogue, Shaman, so I went with Rogue as I finally crafted Necrium Apothecary yesterday to play Highlander Rogue. My first match was against Pirate Warrior and I hit the disgusting highroll off of Galakrond, the Nightmare. I'm going to leave my replay because I can't describe it as awesomely as needed.

Easiest Classic pack of my career.

My favorite deck for the past couple of years has been Spectral Pillager Rogue, but recently I saw that Hysteria had highlighted as one of his 50 top combos of 2019 a version that, although just as memey, utilized an infinite Nozdormu-based version of the combo. I ended up carrying out a few wins today, one of which I got the Pillager killing blow to over 200 x 2 damage.

Had one of those fun meme-off with a Quest-Talritha paladin. I love originality! Paladin had a great start with reborn murloc on one and curving reborn minions till early quest completion followed by a Talritha copying.

Match however ended in a fun way:

- 8:13 Few seconds in the shudderloop, 23hp, lethal onboard, reborn taunt up

- 8:14 two more double shudderwocks to go, 16hp, there goes the board

It wasn't really meant to be an OTK but I guess with enough rolls...

When you get 1st place in BG with Golden Kangor's Apprentice, Golden Foe Reaper 4000, Golden Mechano-Egg, Golden Baron Rivendare and Golden Kaboom Bot. 

3 matches vs the final boss for 1st place. They didn't stand a chance once my board had all of that on it for the last go. Not going to have luck like that in BG for a while, guess I better mess around on ladder for a while.

Had an epic encounter with a deathrattle rogue yesterday. I used a fresh drafted deck containing the new card Arcane Amplifier and all the other hero power boosters and Jan'alai and Spirit of the Dragonhawk. 

I managed to keep board under control notwithstanding 3 deathrattle dudes he could pull off yielding a lots of buffed stats that came my way. I really thought I was dead for the whole game until my deck was empty and I could ping his face for 2 lethal damage.

Haven't played much last few months so I was way of off rank 5 at rank 13 in wild.  Had some free time last few days so I decided to make a dash for it.

Not helped this evening facing someone playing taunt heavy odd warrior seemingly without a win condition at rank 6 with only a few hours of the season left.  Totally entitled to play that of course, but didn't seem a need to rope to the max every turn from turn 1 to their final turn having made their play in the first few seconds.  Perhaps that strategy works against most players who are making a last few hours push and they just concede.

It didn't work with me as I just calmly accepted it (no BM, no roping them back) and after a 15 turn but 28 minute game my even shaman had lethal.  I admit to finding that pretty satisfying.

In short, I am up against some glowstone paladin, jana'lai was up, could cast galaxy spell at 7, could draw 4 with empowered spell from new  malygos dragon, which gave me a solid bord, next turn I draw janalai and can perform the 4x ragnaros combo for exact lethal at turn 9. Bliss.

It is mediocre, probably wins around 50%, but it's a little tempo, a little combo, a little value just like I like it, and I didn't net deck :)

So yesterday played first games with Reno the Poofmaster (may the poof be with you). First time I got to play him cleared board, next turn first spell...resurrect all my mechs...which happened to be 3 of them, one of them a magnetized Zilliax Clockwork Automaton! Amazing. Won that game. Easy.

Before that, in the adventure, when you have Reno and he duplicates all spells you do, I played a puzzle box...that was not a good idea. 10 random spells twice...that was some spellfest.

first time playing the Reno hero card, went up against a mech paladin. He had the perfect start, perfect curve and i was barely holding on by freezing his big mechs, but then i played The Amazing Reno and POOF gone were his big mechs, and he was left with a empty hand, no mechs and he couldn't even use kanghor's to ressurect them. Won the game afterwards easely. Reno hero power didn't do anything, but hey that allowed me to finish up with Dragonqueen Alexstrasza. Loving the new Reno hero already!

I already like Reno the master of Poof but it's a pity you have to wait until turn 10 to play him. By that time a lot of games are more or less decided and either you have a board (so will not play him immediately) or the opponent has one and then you probably will play him. Which means that on average, only half the time you will be playing him, and then only in games that last more than 10 turns. But its early days so who knows. I only put him in a reno deck which tends to spike late game, while maybe its better to use him in a more tempo/aggro deck as a last resort/reset when you have lost the initiative.

Time has passed since those times, but winning because of a Deathwing board-wipe still feels incredibly satisfying.

Had a hilarious Hearthstone game with a friend today. I was playing Heal Druid and he had this weird Dragon deck. He copied my Lucentbark with a Cloning Device, then stole my Gloop Sprayer with Death Grip which he used to summon multiple copies of his taunt minions. He basically stole my strategy and gave me a taste of my own medicine lol

Recently I had some fun with Khadgar and Conjurer's Calling when cast on a Khartut Defender. So turn 6 you play the Khartut, opponent does not want to trade into it but just adds minions to board and you explode the board with Khadgar + conjurer's. Since the deathrattle also produces 2 minions now, you suddenly have 7 minions on board and stat-wise some 30 mana equivalent for an investment of 7 mana. And a lot of healing which is also nice for a mage these days. Easier to pull of then the mountain giant since that one almost always gets removed.

I experimented with another fun card yesterday.  It is Alarm-o-Bot. So i created a deck with lots of mage removal spells. some high impactful minions like Kalecgos, Archmage Antonidas and Malygos. If all goes well, your bot can be played on turn 3, survives, and bam you have your big 10 mana dude AND a whole turn to make use of it. Or just cast a Conjurer's Calling on it, also does wonders. 

Heavy fun indeed. Will be experimenting around this card some more until new expansion hits.

Turn 4 Mountain Giant is nothing. How about a turn 4 Colossus of the Moon.

Another card I tried to make work is Spitting Camel. So we have some (neutral) cards that get better when damaged, notoriously the Angry Chicken one but also some other neutral ones, for instance Spellzerker = good for mage. So i tried to build a deck around this, for instance using Banana Buffoon and Arena Fanatic to boost them, then use the Spitting Camel or ping to damage them. Its nice for a change, not recommended for serious climbing though. But somehow its very satisfying to see your camel injuring you own minion (for free!) and then reap the rewards. Feels a bit like a warrior (but I am playing as mage of course).

And any game you win using Angry Chicken is a life changing experience.

The 2-4 is also a solid 2-drop if you have no other minions in play yet.

Another interesting use: Its turn 4, you have the camel on board, opponent freaks out and plays a heavy taunt. O my god you think, what to do now. Then you top-deck your Voodoo Doll and first you think one mana short but then you realize...camel! Instant bliss.

And as I write this up another card comes to mind which I did not even consider before: the Underbelly Ooze. Will try that one as well soon.

To top it off: all this damaging your own minions also has synergy with Conjurer's Calling  since that works best value-wise on minions that are damaged anyway.

So I opened a bunch of packs today due to the event. I've not been that lucky with packs lately and I really wanted to get at least another DoD legendary dragon. That didn't happen and the first free 8 packs gave nothing, only one missing rare. But then...

The Tavern Brawl Classic pack had a golden Alexstrasza, my first golden legendary from a ordinary Classic pack and one of the legendaries I really wanted to get.

The DoD pack from my interrupted Arena run (4-2) gave me Frizz Kindleroost. Not a dragon, but very useful and fun to build around.

Last but not least, I finished the second event quest here at work and opened Dinotamer Brann. 

So now I feel lucky again even without the DoD dragons! :D

So... long story short: playing as Quest Warlock against Quest Druid.
My opponent manages to empty his deck and play back to back Ysera, Unleashed into Flobbidinous Floop as Ysera, Unleashed into a third Ysera, Unleashed generated by Emerald Explorer.

Too bad I kept both my Twisting Nethers for that exact situation and set up lethal right after this whole mess with a 0 mana Deathwing, Mad Aspect on an empty board.

Needless to say, after the match I got a friend request wishing me cancer and my mother to die.
Oh man, when your opponent feels the urge to friend you to insult you it means that you really played well or that you highrolled pretty hard: it's one of the best feelings this game has given me, hands down.

Wow. Playing the Tavern Brawl today. I had Small Army + Dragons Paladin. In a match against Silver Hand Paladin, he was hitting me hard. I put some beefy minions on the board, buy he had whittled my health down to almost nothing with a bunch of smaller minions. He emoted "Well played" and knocked my health down to 1. I had to laugh because he had committed everything. I had no taunts and he had about five minions on board. I emoted "Oops" back at him and dropped my Nozari and took out almost all of his minions. Suddenly I've got a handful of high attack minions and full health to his one or two low attack minions and nearly empty hand. Didn't take long after that before he conceded. Never count the game over until your opponent is all the way down.

Tried out the Underbelly Ooze and works nice. Especially if your opponent is a mage and plays a buffed Arcane Missiles, suddenly you have a full board of Oozes. He resigned.

Finally managed to pull off this stupid combo in full.

Can confirm new priest cards work preeeeety well. Randuin is back in style boiz.

I have tried all of them now. so far 5 games or so 100% win rate. Yes on EU

I was playing Even Shaman on the wild ladder, queued into Toggwaggle Druid - but didn't knew just yet - the druid rushed trough his deck, and only has 2 more cards into his, which was already a strong hint of his game plan. I played The Lich King who gave me Death Grip. Used it the following turn, stole King Togwaggle ; won the game 

That felt like an epic outcome!

You don't have to adapt to the meta if you dictate the meta 

Man, Demon Hunter has an insane arsenal of damage that it's even capable of brutalizing Wild decks. Altruis the Outcast enables some crazy turns as well, just like in the game I had against this Reno Mage. 

For context, at the start of this turn, my opponent was at 20 health and had a 2/8 Malygos, Aspect of Magic, 4/8 Twilight Drake, and two Eccentric Scribes from Power of Creation. I was playing from behind all game, until I played a discounted Altruis the Outcast and some other shenanigans to clear my opponent's board, then dropped a discounted Priestess of Fury for the coup de grace.

So to recap, I just dealt 14 damage to the opponent's face while wiping out their board and filling up my side of the board in the process. On turn 8. Even playing Reno Jackson wouldn't have saved my opponent from lethal next turn. 

Yeah, I think more nerfs are in order for this class.

I've played 20+ games with this Odd Token DH and not once was Nethrandamus useful, most of the time sitting as a dead card in my hand. Until this game when he forced a concede from my opponent who was beating me down all game. Thanks for being useful for once, Nethrandamus! Time now to remove your useless ass from the deck. :P

So, uhm, some of you already know, that I managed to hit Legend in wild in the first week of this month. I already expressed what I thought about the new ranking system in the respective thread, but I would like to continue my story.

Quest N'zoth Priest was my main deck for a long time now, but since it didn't feature that many new cards, I wanted to try out something new. I also got tired of the Quest Mage wild meta, so I decided to switch to Standard and explore more what the game had to offer. My first legendary from packs was Reliquary of Souls and I wanted to play it. I didn't have a clue how to build a deck around it, so I copy/pasted Regis's deck:

But I felt like there weren't enough synergies with the aforementioned legendary, so I crafted Activate the Obelisk and cut Galakrond in favour for it. After reaching Platinum, I made some adjustments to the deck - I added Renew, Skeletal Dragon (I had to craft both copies of it) and Sandhoof Waterbearer and today I did something, which I considered unthinkable in the past:

Bad Luck Albatross might have been nerfed, but it's still a good card. Especially in combination with N'Zoth, the Corruptor, Twilight's Call, Psychopomp, Grave Rune. I just beat a jade druid by shuffling a lot of birds in their deck. I even Psychic Screamed a few.

Blizz - 2020

So I was playing my Quest Ress Priest in standard and I queued against a Reno mage. I started with my quest on turn 1 and passed. I think, that the opponent had a really bad opening hand, because they didn't play anything prior to turn 6, while I was just chilling.

When their turn 6 started, they cheese-d out a puzzle box with their 6 mana 4/4 and the spell gave them 2x Hand of Gul'dan, 1x Shiv and a Tracking, while they were initially sitting at 8 cards. Needless to say, the opponent conceded, but it was funny how I won that game by doing absolutely nothing.

I made it to Diamond 10 with Secret Highlander Hunter, finished my run going 9-1 today. Overall I went 17-4 using the deck. Feasted on Priest + Rogue going 10-0.

In total my Platinum run was 23-6.  I also finished off my 500 wins & now rocking Golden Rexxar!!!

Just had a last-minute winstreak from Diamond10 to Diamond5.

With Discolock. Granted, I was fairly lucky against some opponents with off-meta decks, but the decks feels like some Demonic power courses through it!

Huge Tempo plays, I might have found the heir to my Even Shaman.

I got to Gold 1 soon after the expansion, but then dropped all the way back to the Gold 5 rank floor as the meta decks got more refined. But tonight I gave it another shot and I made it to Platinum a few hours before the end of the month.

Came back to Hearthstone after more than a year of not touching the game: welcomed with about 7k dust from Hall of Fame rotations, a HIghlander mage deck, and some two dozen free packs. Including Galakrond, 12 legendaries in a single day... Feelin' pretty good!

Ah, man, I just finished a glorious game in ranked wild. I didn't take any screenshots (except at the end), but I wish I could have shown you more of it.

So I got matched against a Cubelock. Here are the most interesting turns:

- Turn 2 -> Thoughtsteal into Skull of the Man'ari + Mal'Ganis.

- Turn 4 -> I coined out the weapon and it summoned the demon on the following turn. {The opponent was struggling with having a big hand and they were forced to play one of their cubes from hand}

- Turn 7 -> I play Archbishop Benedictus for the memez.

- Turn 8 -> Chameleos in hand turned into Mal'Ganis and it got summoned from the skull. In the mean time the opponent had summoned a Voidlord from their skull. I stole it with Shadow Madness, attacked their face for 5 and killed the stolen demon with Forbidden Words.

- Opponent's turn 8 -> Enhanced Dreadlord from the skull + Faceless Manipulator on my Mal'Ganis. I pass.

- Opponent's turn 9 -> Mal'Ganis gets summoned from the skull. They play a Voidlord. I answer their board with Soul Mirror.

- Opponent's turn 10 -> they top-deck another Faceless Manipulator and use it on my Mal'Ganis. The skull summons them a dreadlord. For some reason they also Unstable Felbolt my Mal'Ganis. I top-deck a Faceless Manipulator, use it on their healthy Mal'Ganis and make some trades.

I swear, these are the games I miss playing in wild. I don't get to experience them against Quest Mages.

Few things are more satisfying than when you force your opponent to have a full hand (in this case, my opponent had 9 cards so I triggered his/her Dirty Tricks so he'd overdraw), and they end up burning a key card in their deck. One of the times when you feel like a genius when you really just lucked out XD

Thief Raza Priest vs Reno Grizzled Wizard Mage

So here's the most interesting part from this game: When I played Madame Lazul and I saw that epic in their hand, I knew I was in trouble. I had watched too many trolden/dane videos to know where the game was going, so I expected to say goodbye to my precious upgraded HP. On turn 8 the opponent played Siamat and forced me to answer it with Shadowreaper Anduin. The clock was ticking. On turn 10 The Amazing Reno came into play. "Oh - I said to myself - here it comes". But just when I said this, I topdecked Sir Finley Mrrgglton (from Archbishop Benedictus ofc) and decided to give them a taste of their own medicine. To my surprise the opponent drew the murloc too and they also changed my HP. So we were in this awkward situation:

Both players had changed their heroes, but instead of using upgraded HPs, they were stuck with the basic paladin (mine) and shaman (opponent) ones. A few turns later the opponent changed their profile picture yet again and turned into Frost Lich Jaina. I was in a rough situation, because my HP became completely unplayable. That was until I drew their Jaina on the following turn and the opponent conceded. So here's a recap:

I (Normal Anduin) -> Shadowreaper Anduin + Voidform -> What Does This Do? -> Totemic Call -> Reinforce -> Frost Lich Jaina + Icy Touch

I just love stupid games like this.

Well, I guess I was a day early when I posted in the salt thread about Priestess of Fury possibly being nerfed lol.

I'm overjoyed by this new round of nerfs and buffs because it's gonna make me dust-rich! It's been my habit to dust extra copies of cards while only keeping multiple copies of those that I think will be problematic and might get nerfed in the future. For this expansion, I've stockpiled the following:

Priestess of Fury - 6 extra copies

Blackjack Stunner - 5 copies (with 2 golden, enough for a new legendary!)

Bloodboil Brute - 1 copy

Scavenger's Ingenuity - 3 copies

Shadowjeweler Hanar - undecided whether to dust this or not, since Secret Rogue isn't agreeing with me...

That's a total of 2,900 dust (4,500 if I dust Hanar). This is probably the first time I'm gonna benefit this much from a round of nerfs. My selective hoarding finally paid off!

NA and Asia were first time Legend ever too!  And EU first time Legend only 2 months ago.

Don't think going to try for 6 Legend (NA, EU, ASIA both standard/wild).  Did that with old Rank 5 sometimes but it just doesn't appeal :P

Oh and if I can do it - then you probably can too assuming you have time.  Averaged 95 mins or so a day to get there the 3 times and there's still 2 weeks of season left and I was playing Tier 2 and Tier 3 decks :P

I have finally achieved my highest rank ever after beating a Hunter opp to get to Diamond 5!!!! I am still using Highlander Hunter but I had to tech against Demon Hunter after going 2-5 in Diamond 10-7. So far my new deck has gone 5-2 against Demon Hunter plus my matchup against Hunter has also gone up slightly as a happy coincidence. I'm not going to reveal my tech choices in case any filthy Demon Hunters are browsing this thread.

Just pulled a golden Blackjack Stunner and Murgur Murgurgle in one pack! Debating if i should DE blackjack for 800 dust.. oh and i always wanted a Murgur Murgurgle, so getting it golden is really Nice! (And i like the animation)

Totally skipped lethal on purpose just to play that 3rd Alexstrasza. You just have to in those situations!

Finally. Fucking finally. After so many failed attempts, Chameleos finally turned into Time Warp. Luckily for me my opponent didn't have an Ice Block, so I defeated them on the following turn.

That feeling when you go on a 10-game winning streak to end the day, waylaying and massacring Mages and Priests along the way. Feelsgoodman

Man, I just experienced one of the best games as a Thief Priest for a long time. Please excuse the lack of screenshots.

So, starting off, I got matched with Togwaggle Druid and suddenly I turned into the infamous Priest version of it (well, almost):

The funny thing is, I don't even have Murozond in my collection.

Right after my turn ended, the opponent felt threatened and they decided to pull off their own combo. At that time Raza and Anduin were still in my deck, so after many turns my druid opponent used my win-condition against me. Here's the twist though - I won at the end through the clever usage of King's Ransom from Chameleos, then the original copy in my hand (in order to answer the enemy Murozond's battlecry) and finally Murozond himself (in order to answer the King's Ransom in the opponent's hand). I also found some healing from the Cobalt Spellkin; the opponent couldn't generate enough pressure and conceded.

I had some very interesting games versus Burn Mage - three, to be exact. In 2 of those I survived thanks to copying their Ice Blocks and I beat my opponents by either playing Reno Jackson or a Seanced Cloud Prince. In the third game I went for Aluneth, because I wanted to draw my healing and AoE spells on time, and Chameleos turned into a Fireball, which helped me close the game.

The last game before reaching Diamond was against Odd Demon Hunter. Nothing too exciting happened there - I managed to draw Reno pretty early, so the win was in the bag. However he wasn't the reason why my opponent rage quit. On turn 5 I was forced to play Madame Lazul, because the opponent had used Mana Burn. I found Eye Beam and took it. A couple of turns later the opponent had a sticky, wide board, which I managed to clear thanks to Mass Hysteria and the aforementioned DH spell. When that happened, they went afk.

Ah man, I can only imagine the expression on my opponent's faces, when they see me winning thanks to their own cards. The feeling of trolling them is glorious.

Played wild  burgle rogue, against a warrior that recently went full galakrond putting a 5/7 Risky Skipper down, I'm mostly out of health and have a neglible boardpresence.  Without many other options, I slam down my Tess Greymane, which summons a Rotface and a Security Rover. Instead of clearing his Risky Skipper, he plays Leeroy Jenkins, and the Risky Skipper clears the 2 Whelps. - No additional summons, since momentarily there were 7 minions. instead of using the hurt Leroy, he then plays Bloodsworn Mercenary, which copies the hurt Reno, till Risky Skipper kills them both, and summons a Security Bot and a random legendary for me.  Since there is none of his mana left to sabotage himself, he then concedes.

Making it a winstreak of 6 with a greedy meme deck!

I'd like to share a hilarious battlegrounds game where the top 3 was me playing pirates against two murloc players. I had two Cap'n Hoggarrs which allowed me to buy any pirate for free (if I also sold them afterwards) while also buffing my golden Salty Looter to astronomic proportions. Both of my opponents had a lot of health left so the game kept going for quite a while, and for some reason neither of them seemed to be getting any Gentle Megasaurs. When I got to tavern six however, I decided that it should stay that way when I immediately found myself some megasaurs:

And lo and behold, the last remaining opponent did not get a megasaur and my big fat pirates were able to carry me to victory!

I start 2nd against their Kobold Librarian, I manage to setup a couple of tokens + Never Surrender!: they don't play Defile. I keep building tokens and pinging face at each turn

Then at t-3 after their Sense Demons, I put in place Infectious Sporeling. They play Voidcaller nonetheless (probably because they had Skull ready), and get punished hard. 

He plays Skull of the Man'ari, I play Acidic Swamp Ooze.

Then I can't remember their t-6 but it was irrelevant, I play Sunkeeper Tarim and win.

I had the perfect hand (yet I didn't even play Highlander cards, which is kinda sad in the face of my homebrew purposes), but so did they, and I won. D3 conquered.

Sometimes I actually feel like a good player.

Just had a long battleground game, the last 5 games against the same opponent - from a perfect winstreak of 11 I was beaten 4 times in a row by a golden Monstrous Macaw and Selfless Hero as well as some cheap poisonous murlocs,  before finally getting gentle megasaurus - and the options were: +1/+1, +3 Attack and Deathrattle: summon 2 Seedlings. And this deathrattle then won me the game, with an influx of small 1/1 to beat the divine shields.

FYI, I specifically chose Vargoth from Drakonid Operative's battlecry just for this specific outcome. It wasn't certain, but that's why sometimes you have to go for the memes and the game delivered them.

Both Alex were copied by Archbishop Benedictus. The opponent's upgraded hero power cast Vanish, so that's why you see him in hand. Anyway, I won at the end. :P It wasn't in ranked, but still very satisfying.

Played the deck to complete a quest, bought a GvG pack and got Vol'jin. Odd Priest, rejoice!

Very general pepper, but I'm really enjoying playing the new solo adventure! The rhyming does grow a little tedious, but I find myself actually shouting "GO, GO" at the characters in my head ... and aloud ...

Accidentally hit Legend for the second time ever by playing Highlander Hunter. 

This was much more satisfying way to hit legend instead of using Demon Hunter. 

Hunter has always been my favorite class, and I have been playing Highlander Hunter long before it became cool in SoU. Hitting legend with a T2 deck made me feel like it was actually my knowledge of the deck and the meta that got me to legend, instead of just pushing the broken DH aggro train.

Had some fantastic matches, won unfavored matches by playing my mulligan's right and knowing what my outs for those matches were. Had a few epic close matches too that were some of the best games played all expansion. 

Final boss was a mirror match, that I drew really badly, yet I still was able to squeak out the win by knowing when to apply the pressure. 

Just feels good to hit legend with my favorite class instead of with the predetermined king of the meta. 

Just played some Disco lock on Wild ladder (Diamond 3) and played a game vs a Reno Priest, which I can pretty much only win if I steam roll them down fast and hard. 

I high rolled like mad, getting him down to 7 health by turn 5. He clears the board. I have two Fist of Jaraxxus in hand (created by my first Expired Merchant), and top deck my second Expired Merchant, giving me lethal with the pair of Fist of Jaraxxus.

After the match, I received a friend request. I usually don't add people, as I got tired of being told to die and eat shit all the time. But this time, I felt satisfied enough with my beat down that I thought laughing at an angry person would be fun. 

Instead, I add my opponent and he sends me a really nice message telling me good game and that he had Reno in hand to play on curve (as I assumed he did, because Reno Priest always has Reno on curve, unless I'm playing the deck). 

It was a nice, pleasant and very unexpected surprise to be talked to like an actual human being. Maybe I'll add people more often now.

After losing around 4-5 games in a row with my Lockdown Shudderman deck, I faced Bomb Warrior and was always at the brink of death.

The game was in turn 10, 4 bombs in my deck and a Mine from Iron Juggernaut, he still had 1 Wrenchcalibur and 2 Hoard Pillagers.

He played Blastmaster Boom, and I responded with Volcano and healed to 20 with Murmuring Elemental and Antique Healbot, then played Boompistol Bully (Thanks for the discounts via an unkilled Emperor Thaurissan)

I was already Hagatha the Witch, he had 54 health in total, I was really fudged with an inactive Reno in hand... Hagatha gave me Eureka! + another Healing Wave... I played both... Eureka! put Kobold Stickyfinger on the board, and Healing wave showed Platebreaker, healing me for 14.

After seeing the combo, it seems that this warrior realized that well... If I was lucky enough, I was going to win for sure, so... Conceded!

It's not the greatest game I had, but man... I felt really satisfied when I could theoretically counter every single thing he throwed at me!

I dropped a Duplicate on the board first turn with a Kabal Lackey.  Next turn I dropped Astromancer Solarian.  They Backstab, him and I get the other copies of it and they drop Deathlord. I Fireball and hit with the lackey, get the prime... they conceded

I had back-to-back early Baku the Mooneater turns last night. 

First matchup, my Priest opponent plays Dirty Rat on turn 2, pulling Baku from my hand. Thanks for the 2-mana 7/8, man!

Second matchup, another Priest opponent plays Deathlord on turn 2, I kill it next turn and pulls Baku from my deck. Thanks for the 3-mana 7/8, dude!

Playing a Wild game, admittedly using Odd Demon Hunter with a few additional Inspire cards after the nerfs including Dragonhawk Rider (what?!?!).  I get matched up against a Time Warp Mage, a deck I've also played a lot of in the past.  It's not a super tough deck to pilot in my opinion, but this guy... rope turn 1 and play the quest at the last second and pass.  Does it again turn 2, so I started doing it back.  Eventually he starts playing faster and so I stop roping too.  Once I stop roping he STARTS roping again...

"Dude, this is the Pepper Thread, not the Salt Thread!"    I promise I'm getting to the Pepper!

Anyway, he's down to one card, empty board except for my Glaivebound Adept that just cleared his Flamewaker  Top decks Evocation with just three spells needed to complete the quest.  No problem for me there, especially since his third spell he played after Evocation was a second Evocation that the first generated.

So the second Evocation fills his hand and triggers the quest completion, and his extra turn is no more!  The very next turn (because he didn't immediately shame concede) he draws Archmage Vargoth!  He didn't really have anything left in hand to threaten me anyway, but had he not been an idiot he could have at least bought some time...  But I guess this is one fine example of a roping bastard getting what he deserved.

One time, I was a Rogue playing against a Druid in Wild. When I found out that it was a Jade Druid due to spamming Jade Idol, I played Waxmancy and found Skulking Geist. I wish I could see the look on the druid's face after seeing all of their Jade Idols and Naturalizes burned before their eyes, because they conceded right after.

It's soooooo satisfying to unleash my Inner Demon and get exact lethal against annoying Priests. 

Gotta love that feeling after a match where you beat a big priest who bm'd before coining our Barnes on 4. Sorry big priest, my disco lock isn't going to let that bs stand in my way! I greet you!

Eff you, Mage. Take that 16 damage to the effing face. I hate your class with a passion :D

About the new expansion launch; bought the big pre-order bundle. So got a free golden legendary out of that. And a regular for logging in as well. 

Go nothing special from the golden packs, just a couple of rares and an epic. But then the pack openings begon; out of 84 regular packs, I got THREE golden legendary's, and 5 regular ones. And lots of useful epics as well. Best openings ever. I'm hyped!

So I opened all my 181 Scholomance packs, plus the 5 golden packs.  Got the 80+5 bundle, the rest with gold or rewards from last month.  I got Professor Slate as my free "choose your own Legen..." I mean my free golden Legendary from pre-order.  Got Omu as my free one for sign in, then opened 12 legendaries in my 181 packs.  Best thing out of the golden packs was one golden Epic, the Paladin "Braggart" card, 2 mana.

Anyway, I was pretty pleased with that.  All I was missing for the whole set were 9 legendaries, and I had some golden epics that some believe could be on a nerf list very soon, meaning I'm not mass DE and golden card purging like normal.  Waiting patiently to see what happens.

But then, something crazy happens!  I had signed out after opening all my packs.  I am absolutely CERTAIN that I opened them all.  But after about 30 minutes I signed back in... there was a pack in my inventory.  Open it to find a Vectus waiting for me!  NICE!!!

This has been my best pack opening for an expansion since Boomsday Project. I bought the 55-pack bundle which only netted me three legendaries (Soulciologist Malicia, Jandice Barov, Shan'do Wildclaw), and I intended to buy more with my in-game gold once the expansion launched. I bought 50 packs, and boy the legendaries and epics kept coming in:

High Abbess Alura

Ras Frostwhisper

Doctor Krastinov

That's a legendary for every 10 packs, and they're cards that I was already interested to play around with. My free legendaries are nice too: Instructor Fireheart (Spell Damage Shaman, here I come!) and a golden Star Student Stelina (which I'm hoping will annoy people enough to call for nerfs, but fat chance). 

Amazing! I've never been more excited to play the game. I don't think I've ever had this much luck in a pack opening. I'm never buying mega bundles again, it seems like my pity timers always suck when I purchase those :P

I'm enjoying this Aggro/Tempo Paladin deck, I went 15-3 with it (7-0 against Druids, the class that seems to be dominating the meta right now). High Abbess Alura is the real MVP, with the potential to become an unanswerable 11/14 by turn 4:

Just playing a game against one of those Mega Spell Damage Mages with Mozaki, Master Duelist.  Only they weren't playing with Mozaki.  Because after they played Potion of Illusion and filled their hand they passed the turn only to burn Mozaki at the start of their next turn!  What a shame.  But I guess the point of the deck was to build up to a big burn turn and that's kind of what they did!  Just not how they expected to do it.

I made legend again! In Standard mode this time :D

I was playing Bomb Warrior, which was already emerging before the nerfs, but bloomed into an unstoppable force after Druid was hit. This was one of my favorite decks in RoS, and to reach legend with it makes me really happy. 

Had some luck too, as I somehow managed to outlast several Pure Paladins along the way. I was playing a decklist with a pirate package, but switched to a control-heavy one because I kept losing in the mirror matches (had to craft Kargath Bladefist to complete the deck, dust well spent). Shuffling endless bombs into your opponents' decks still gives me unspeakable joy.

My last card was Annoy-o-Module at that time, but I changed it to Righteous Protector, in order to play around a possible Zapp Slywick. As you can imagine, I won every single match from this moment on and I didn't even change my board (with the exception of the aforementioned tech card). My opponents weren't weak, mind you - especially not Patches, that had a board full of 50+ statted pirates.

That's the list I hit legend with (I think that was the standard one), but I switched out the Whirlwind and Plague of Wrath with two copies of Awaken! because I'm facing a lot of Aggro Rogues recently, just to immediately clear their stealthed 1-health minions and hit them in the face for 3. It's got mixed results so far, I think this list I posted is still kind of better. 

Goal is to tutor Wrenchcalibur then re-equipping it Hoard Pillagers and buffing it with Doctor Krastinov and Upgrade! You can shuffle up to 10 bombs in your opponent's deck, if they don't die first from getting hit in the face constantly :P

My first attempt at Murlocs in BG.  Apparently they're good?

I was playing a mirror match against a Bomb Warrior, and we were hitting each other in the face all game long. That is, until he played a Blastmaster Boom and filled his board with boom bots. Well, I had no other choice but to play my own Boom, play Whirlwind, and BRING ON THE BOMBS! Mwahahaha

(I won, by the way. My Blastmaster Boom absorbed most of the bomb damage lol)

How do you beat an opponent who's playing an annoying deck like Infinite Turtle Mage? Well, by ruining his game plan with an even more annoying card like Mindrender Illucia, of course!

Basically, my opponent had played like a thousand of those turtles and re-copying it into his hand with the new Mage illusion spell. I just waited until I was sure he'd drawn all copies of it then hit him with the Illucia and wasted every single one of those damn turtles. Feels good. 

And... it wasn't a fluke!

Just hit legend for the second time ever, with Pure Paladin. I was not stressing about the ladder this month (I really haven't since I made legend the first time in April of this year) - my goal before, and since, was/is Diamond 5 for the free epic.

I have been trying to grind wins with Paladin, so I focused the past two days on that class, after giving Priest, Demon Hunter, Hunter, two kinds of Rogue, Paladin, and Mage a try (in varying degrees of seriousness). I made it to the "final boss" three times before today, but each time lost and fell back a few stars. I think I spent the past two weeks in D1-D3. Finally strung together the final 4 game win streak and punched through!

My last opponent was a mirror, which is a matchup I have really struggled with. But this time, the trades and tempo just went my way in the mid-game and I got a couple bigger minions to stick and the winning card was a Light's Justice which I scored off my Lightforged Crusader on turn 8. I was able to face-tank a divine shielded taunt and with the stats I had on board my opponent conceded. 

Hope this encourages others to keep striving and don't get too frustrated out there on ladder! 

Pogo Brann is the best build, change my mind.

Got a nice finisher yesterday, mostly due to rng but still. Playing spell damage Shaman vs Gala Shaman, I played Vashj Prime wich drew Primordial Studies and 2x Serpentshrine Portal, all discounted to 0 mana. I played the studies and discovered Malygos. I saved the portals for next turn, and after playing Malygos I could burn my opponent with 16 dmg to the face (he was at 12) for only 8 mana. Not a huge achievement by any means, but still felt nice!

Sometimes a Hero + comp just comes together.

edit: AAAAND I just tripled my Razorgore and Drakonid Enforcer.  lol

I'm not even mad, that's hilarious.  99.8% chance to lose to the ghost. 

Hit 5k after a little over a week! 

First time I actually tried to go Legend and did it with 20 minutes left in the season. Sure, I had to swallow my pride and do the final push with Face Hunter instead of the budget Big Warrior deck I had but it still felt really good.

I just hit legend for the first time! And i did it with a Highlander Control Priest! Control decks are my favorite type of deck so it felt really good to accomplish this without forcing myself to play aggro.

The highlight was one mirror match and it was one of the craziest (and longest) games i have ever played. I won on my very last few cards. My opponent didn't play safe when he was finally ahead and he ended up being surprised by a Kayn Sunfury (obtained from Brightwing that came from Dragonqueen Alexstrasza) into two Apotheosis into two attacks from the minions i had on the board and 7 fatigue damage for exact lethal. If my opponent traded i would have lost. If he played Mindrender Illucia, he would have won as well. It's impossible to play around something as random as this but it's not impossible to play safe when you are about to win. Btw, we both kept our Illucia's in hand the whole game and never played her because it's just too risky in a mirror match. I know he had one because i got a copy of it from Envoy of Lazul.

So I opened a legendary two packs in a row! Very convenient, since I'm thinking about start hoarding gold for the next expansion now. Yesterday I got Disciplinarian Gandling and today Sphere of Sapience from the season rewards. I'm especially happy about the first one, since it's such a cool card but I didn't want to craft it. I don't really know how to use the Sphere right now, but it feels good to have it in case some cool deck shows up. Maybe I should make an iteration of big warrior with the sphere to keep the big guns in the deck..?
