Hearthstone is adding purchasable decks to the game through a new shop item called "Battle-Ready Decks". Here's everything we know!
- A battle-ready deck costs $19.99 USD.
- Each account can purchase 1 battle-ready deck.
- Buying a deck will level the associated class up to level 10 if it isn't already level 10.
- Battle-ready decks are available in the Hearthstone shop for two weeks from the time it is added to the shop.
Additionally, you should know this about battle-ready decks:
- Decks will not be available right away when an expansion launches as they want to let the meta settle in a bit first.
- The one purchase per account may be a limited-time thing. They are still figuring out the long-term strategy.
- Any cards in the deck you already have copies of, will grant you extra copies that can be disenchanted.
- No nerfs are expected for cards in the decks, at least for now, but full dust refunds will be available for nerfed cards should it happen.
You can read Blizzard's full post down below and if you want to see what each of the decks contains, we've got that below the blue post. Be sure to let us know if you're planning on picking up one of the decks!

FAQ
- Why can’t I buy a Battle-Ready Deck when the expansion launches?
- We want to make sure we preserve the exploration phase of each expansion when everyone is trying out new and interesting things. We won’t be offering Battle-Ready Decks right after an expansion launches because the meta always needs time to settle at first, and we need time to analyze the resulting data to determine which decks we should offer.
- Why can I only buy one? Will more Battle-Ready Decks become available for the next expansion?
- We're trying this limited run now to gauge community interest before we decide how expansive this should be.
- How long will Battle-Ready Decks be available after they start showing up in the shop?
- A Battle-Ready Deck will be purchasable for two weeks after it’s been listed on the shop.
- What happens if I buy a Battle-Ready Deck but I already have most of the cards?
- You’ll get those cards again as duplicates, which you can choose to disenchant if you’d like.
- There are Core Set cards in these decks, will I get those cards again?
- If you already have the Core Set cards in a Battle-Ready deck, you will not receive them again. If you don’t, purchasing a deck will automatically level its associated class to 10, unlocking all the Core set cards in the deck list.
- What happens if cards in my Battle-Ready Deck are nerfed?
- We always do our best to plan around potential balance changes. As such, we’re not expecting to nerf any of the cards offered in Battle-Ready Decks at this time, but we will extend the usual full dust refund to any eligible impacted cards if it happens.
- I did not have an open deck slot when I purchased my Battle-Ready Deck, where is it?
- It’s possible you may not see the Battle-Ready Deck in your deck list if you did not have an open deck slot when you chose your Battle-Ready Deck. If this happens, don’t worry! You will still receive all the cards from that deck. If you would like to delete one of your existing decks, you can then navigate back to this page and use our deck list. From here, you can copy the deck code to automatically assemble the deck in Hearthstone.

The gold cost is buying card packs :D
"No nerfs are expected for cards in these decks"
Crabrider and Hand of A'dal are in the Paladin one.
Fuck.
As if Crabrider is a problematic card. Give me a break. I agree that paladin feels slightly overturned, and maybe adal is a card to evaluate but ultimately Crabrider is a harmless card on its own and even decks like face hunter omit the card for a reason. Cards that get out of control with the help of other cards is fine as long as it's not a one card powerhouse. In the regard, Mankrik is more problematic since it can fit in anything and doesn't need support to be strong.
There is no ground to nerf Crabrider and its pretty obvious who wants the nerf. I. E. Angry chickens and warlock mains.
3 mana 3/4 = problematic b/c universal
2 mana Rush+Windfury = harmless b/c niche
Glad you don't work balance 🤭
Harmless card
literally top 5 mulligan winrate in any deck that runs it.
Literally a better version than Speaker Gidra who's a fucking class legendary.
I guess Sword of the Fallen didn't need to be nerfed since it needed support from other cards.
Actually look at the stats and stop malding over the fact that you can't beat Shitlock who can barely even string together its own gameplan and loses to everything that isn't Priest.
Please tell me how many secrets are played since nerf to secret-sword? Indeed, it was a card that broke other cards.
Secret Paladin is still the best deck in the game? Are you high?
Quoting Alec:
"Also so that there’s transparency, still planning to do balance changes post MT. We’ll be deciding those sometime next week and they’ll be in game the week after. Those could certainly include cards in the battle-ready decks but as of right now we have not made final decisions."
There's still hope!
I hope so, I don't think I can stomach another month of losing to a single 2-drop on curve.
Either remove the little fucker or buff every single 2-mana removal spell by 1-damage
It's quite easy to nerf crabrider, there's so many options available. Either push him to 3 mana or take 1 health off. (I personally am in favour of the 1 health removal)
Im honestly thinking whether removing rush from it would be a sufficient nerf, so its only a good minion against control and fairly bad vs everything else.
Probably not because that still has the snowballing effect.
I don't have a problem with a windfury minion that helps you get ahead on the board if paired with buffs, I just don't want a 2-mana "must kill or it snowballs to the point of complete dominance".
They removed Questing Adventurer from the Core set because of this, and yet Crabrider is allowed to just abuse every current and future buff card?
Oh well would you look at that, "nerf Crabrider or buff my warlock spells." What a clown take, as if the balance team should purposely cripple entire minion based archetypes just so you can play your awful warlock deck. You are the exact reason Crabrider was printed, just FYI.
I have no idea why you assume that I want Warlock spells buffed specifically or that I even play Warlock at all, but your smooth-brained take leads me to believe you haven't actually seen the meta outside of Bronze 5.
Rank-burn. Pat yourself on the back for a very, very well executed insult.
So this post is bugged, missing the Demon Hunter description and the Warrior deck :p
Still, weird how they are charging the same value for all decks, but they all have different dust costs, Runeterra did this one better, charging based on how many of the cards you have and the rarity of the cards.
EDIT: The post got fixed while I was commenting :P
Also, if the decks were available for gold too, that'd be cool.
Totally agree, but they say they are testing the commnunity reception to this, so maybe in the future they take that into account.
I will not buy none of the decks but for someone who started a few days or weeks ago this is a great way of starting your collection and start playing right away with a decent deck.
Hope they keep coming with great news like they have until now.
The pricing the depateable, but the decks themself look really good. Gj to the guy who designed them.
I think the decks were built based on actual play data, and card performance. So unlike the often under powered deck recipes designed to be starting blocks for experimentation, these are meant to be competitive.
Not too hard of a grind to Diamond with the deck recipes.
