Welcome to the last Duels meta report of the United in Stormwind expansion cycle. Fractured in Alterac Valley is only a few days away, and people already have their gold saved up to buy those sweet, sweet packs. Talking about opening packs, did you know that here on Out Of Cards we have our own Alterac Valley pack simulator? Go and test your luck!
Duels-wise, the pre-Alterac patch that went live a few days ago didn't bring us any game mode-specific balance changes, but instead Team 5 introduced 15 brand new Passive Treasures, some of which are even featured in this meta report: make sure to check out our in-depth commentary if you want to know more about them!
With that said, let's not forget about playing the game. As usual, here below you'll find a handful of 12-win decks achieved with multiple classes, which may give you the inspiration you need to get one yourself. Have fun!
Disclaimer: some decks in this article were collected from Firestone. You can find out more about Firestone and install the app here!
In case you missed them, we published other collections of 12-win Duels starting decks to take inspiration from!

Loreley's 12 Wins Outlander Demon Hunter
United in Stormwind's Duels Demon Hunter was pretty one-sided: apart from the occasional Token and Deathrattle winning runs, the class was almost always focused on bursting down the opponents with Outlander shenanigans. Some people prefer running the Final Showdown Questline variant, others dropped it to run a wider Fel package, and folks like Loreley went for a basic Outcast-focused deck.
Passive Treasures Chosen
First pool - Fireshaper
Second pool - [Hearthstone Card (ooops, all spells!) Not Found]
Persia's 12 Wins Big Diablo
Persia is not new to successful Diablo runs: in fact, a 12-win Big Diablo list from them was featured in the last meta report too, and they decided to double down!
There's only one change in the starting deck: Soul Shear was dropped in favor of Grimoire of Sacrifice (a Standard card!) which is meant to help you against faster and aggressive decks.
Persia also took their time to explain Explosive Sheep's inclusion.
Quote From Persia With Totem of the Dead, Explosive Sheep is a 2 mana 4 damage AoE. It's also a Deathrattle, so it help the deck to fish the passive. You can use it as a "Doomsayer" on turn 4/5 in order to stall for Doom Charge and sometimes it's nice to Discover It from the Hero Power in order to clear.
Passive Treasures Chosen
First pool - Rocket Backpacks
Second pool - Manastorm
Yugu's 12 Wins Discard Diablo
This is the absolute first time we've seen someone succeeding with Demonic Transformation. Being by far the worst Diablo Hero Power, Yugu decided to not worry about it and still managed to get a 12-win run, which is very impressive. The quirky choices aren't limited to just the Hero Power as Yugu took Horns of Flame as a Signature Treasure, which isn't necessarily bad, but so far Fire Stomp has almost always been the go-to pick.
We have to admit that there might be far stronger and far more consistent archetypes out there, and therefore we don't advise you to craft anything or to spend your gold to play this starting deck. However, if you just want to try it out, be sure to let us know your results!
Passive Treasures Chosen
First pool - Ever-Changing Elixir
Second pool - Legendary Loot
Chrome575's 12 Wins Questline Druid
Stormwind Druid was another pretty much one-sided class: except the occasional Harvest Time!-Greedy Gains or Invigorating Bloom successful runs, the class was usually centered around Lost in the Park and lots of spells.
The starting deck you see below is a clear example of what we're talking about. Even though the Twig of the World Tree-Sphere of Sapience isn't necessarily a core combo, having 10 additional mana certainly helps, especially if you want to set up Guff the Tough-Mark of the Spikeshell shenanigans.
Passive Treasures Chosen
First pool - Mysterious Tome
Second pool - Legendary Loot
Armogleden's 12 Wins Deathrattle Hunter
Expedited Burial and Deathrattle Hunter was a combination that was eventually bound to happen, and it didn't take much for someone to actually come up with a 12-win run. Based on the player's words, the run wasn't going particularly well until they managed to get their hands on a new Passive Treasure, which singlehandedly flipped the tables and carried them all the way to the end.
Quote From Armogleden Expedited Burial is insanely strong, especially compared to some of the other new value-generating T2 treasures. I was only 1-2 when I got my second Passive, and managed to win 11 straight using it. I even won my final game on turn 2 using just Darkmoon Tonk, Deathstrider, and Hunter's Insight. Starving is also really helpful for refill when all of your big Deathrattles cost 1 mana.
Passive Treasures Chosen
First pool - Starving
Second pool - Expedited Burial
Chrome575's 12 Wins Deathrattle Hunter
Chrome575 put together a more standard Deathrattle Hunter run, which is worth highlighting because Goblin vs. Gnomes' Feign Death is put to good use. It's nice to see the addition of Hearthstone's first expansion bring in successful results.
Passive Treasures Chosen
First pool - Crystal Gem
Second pool - Totem of the Dead
Fliboce's 12 Wins Frost Hero Power Mage
Fliboce and 12-win Mage runs: name a better duo - we're waiting. This player took Frost Hero Power Mage to 12 wins once again, demonstrating that the archetype is very good and that it can perform at high levels even with different Passives at your disposal.
This time, for instance, Ever-Changing Elixir was part of the run: this Treasure, which synergizes very well with Frost Shards' Ice Shards and that will appear multiple times in this meta report, allows for a very snowbally game plan.
Passive Treasures Chosen
First pool - Ever-Changing Elixir
Second pool - Battle Totem
Ultrarotom's 12 Wins Big Paladin
Everybody loves some Royal Greatsword shenanigans, right? Right? Since the Grommash's Armguards buff, we've seen many people getting 12 wins with this interaction and most of them came to the same conclusion that ultrarotom did:
Quote From ultrarotom I've managed a 12-win run (and a 11-win one as well) with this deck before miniset/Grommash's Armguards and now swapped 2 cards. You can replace Tirion Fordring and/or Ragnaros, Lightlord with cards like Mr. Smite, Highlord Fordragon and Keymaster Alabaster. I don't have them, but my version works fine.
Grommash's Armguards feels like cheating. You just dodge every Weapon in buckets and Treasures, no matter what, and win turn 4 (or 3 with The Coin) Imo, Grommash's Amguards should simply be removed from the game. This interaction in particular is OP but it still sucks pretty much elsewhere so…
Passive Treasures Chosen
First pool - Grommash's Armguards
Second pool - Disks of Legend
As a proof of our last statement, jigsawxfalling drove the same archetype with the same Passive Treasures to the same result. Big Pally is good.
RegisKillbin's 12 Wins Boar Priest
Another masterpiece from RegisKillbin, who this time brings us some Elwynn Boar shenanigans. He posted the whole run on his YouTube channel and it's hilarious, so we really encourage you to check it out!
Passive Treasures Chosen
First pool - Invigorating Light
Second pool - Mummy Magic
Chrome575's 12 Wins Miracle Priest
Miracle Priest is not a novelty in Duels, but if we see any relevant deckbuilding choices that divert from the usual core of cards, we always make sure to highlight them. This list, in particular, runs Deadmines' Multicaster for some extra card draw in a deck with a lot of card generation but little cycle.
Passive Treasures Chosen
First pool - Fireshaper
Second pool - Rally the Troops
Dsorrow's 12 Wins Miracle Priest
Same as the list above, except that Dsorrow was able to put their hands on a new Passive Treasure: Battle Stance. While they said that there are better (and more synergistic) choices for the archetype, this Treasure didn't perform poorly at all.

First pool - Fireshaper
Second pool - Battle Stance
AlexWildPants' 12 Wins Weapon Rogue
This Rogue list comes from Reddit user u/AlexWildPants, who gave us some insights about their run and their decision to play such an unusual archetype.
Quote From AlexWildPants I wanted to try Rogue and was getting tired of missing [Hearthstone Card (Ooops, All Spells!) Not Found] with the standard Spell Rogue list.I decided to try an old version of Weapon Rogue that I used to play to see how viable it was in this meta. I made it to 11-0 and sadly was denied the flawless run when I queued into a From Golden Light Paladin that had got Wickerflame Burnbristle out on turn 2 and endlessly revived it. But despite the one hard counter, the deck did phenomenal without even hitting what I would consider optimal Passives (I ended up draftingCrystal Gem and Rally the Troops).
Overall, I got pretty lucky in the run and only faced From Golden Light Paladin twice, which is probably the worst match up for this deck. Anyways, hope you guys are inspired to give it a try.
Passive Treasures Chosen
First pool - Crystal Gem
Second pool - Rally the Troops
Chrome575's 12 Wins Elemental Shaman
Elemental Shaman is an archetype that, being introduced in Forged in the Barrens and seeing much success, improved even more with United in Stormwind: Bolner Hammerbeak but especially Granite Forgeborn gave the deck really good deckbuilding choices and improved the deck's success overall.
Sure, September's Battlecry patch made the archetype disappear for a bit, but now that All Together Now and (partially) Rally the Troops are back, Elemental Shaman is too.
While this run doesn't feature any of the aforementioned Passive Treasures, Ever-Changing Elixir and Emerald Goggles still have great synergy with a deck that loves getting on board as fast as possible.
Passive Treasures Chosen
First pool - Ever-Changing Elixir
Second pool - Emerald Goggles
Firestone - 12 Wins Legendary Shaman
When people talk about Disks of Legend decks, they usually refer to Paladin and Warrior. Well, until now: some mad man decided to force that Passive Treasure with Shaman, obtained it and then proceeded to get a flawless 12-win run.
The starting list features so many niche cards that we're incredulous about this result, but numbers don't lie, and with no doubt this is one of the memey-est decks we've seen in the entire United in Stormwind expansion cycle. Play at your own risk though.
Passive Treasures Chosen
First pool - Inspiring Presence
Second pool - Disks of Legend
Dsorrow's 12 Wins Questline Shaman
Although being nerfed a a couple months ago, Questline Shaman is still good in Duels, and, despite its low popularity rate, the occasional 12er is the proof of what we're saying. Fractured in Alterac Valley didn't include any new Overload cards, but maybe Windchill's cheap cycle will make the cut: time will tell.
Passive Treasures Chosen
First pool - Fireshaper
Second pool - Party Replacement
LessThanThree's 12 Wins Soul Warlock
Just like Demon Hunter and Druid, Warlock wasn't the most diverse class in Stormwind: Soul Fragment Warlock was (and currently is) what kept the class from being absent from the game mode.
Passive Treasures Chosen
First pool - All Together Now
Second pool - Rally the Troops
Fliboce's 12 Wins Legendary Warrior
Warrior was one of the most successful classes in the last 4 months, and a big part of Rattlegore came from Bruising, absolutely nutty in every part of the run.
This particular starting list features some unusual inclusions, like Flightmaster Dungar and the new Mr. Smite and Goliath, Sneed's Masterpiece.
Passive Treasures Chosen
First pool - Crystal Gem
Second pool - Disks of Legend
AgentCroque's 12 Wins Pirate Warrior
By surprise of no one, Pirate Raid the Docks Warrior comes out of United in Stormwind as one of the most successful decks, to the point where the starting deck you see below reached a total of five 12-win runs: two from AgentCroque, two from Fliboce and one Persia. The latter, in particular, included Gruntled Patron to maximize the Spiked Arms synergy - quirky and nutty combo!
Passive Treasures Chosen
First pool - Ever-Changing Elixir
Second pool - Rally the Troops

I wish you would actually post decks that didn't just have the perfect treasures / opponents.. I have now played that paladin deck 8 times, not once did I land those Treasures. All these Decks that you post that claim to get 12 wins only do so if you get those Treasures. So how about you post decks that didn't get the perfect Treasures and buckets
Paladin is, above every class, the one that can soft force its Passive Treasures with the most consistency. Out of the many runs I've had with the class, very little didn't have at least one among Grommash's Armguards, Righteous Reserves, Avenging Armaments or Disks of Legend being offered.
Sure, sometimes the system gives you the middle finger, but you normally need a bit of flexibility to turn the tides in your favor.
Had some nice success with Regis's boar quest priest, but as a second passive got Bronze Signet. Collecting boars was never that easy.
On the relevant note: how people are linking passives in normal manner and not like an animal?
Hi there: glad you're having some success with a list we've showcased :)
Regarding your question, the answer's very simple: there's a "Card" button in the toolkit you see above the comment box - you write the Passive's name, then highlight it and press said button.
Another way of doing it is pressing the button, writing the Passive's name inside it and then you're done :)
In the end, it's no different than highlighting a normal minion or spell!
I actually tried that, but failed somehow. But good to know I was on the right path.
Played a hilarious questline druid run earlier with Inspiring Presence and Endurance Training. Bag of Coins, Mark of the Spikeshell, Solar Eclipse and Zola the Gorgon helped me play 4 Guff the Tough in a single turn.
Most fun I've had in duels since release. The fact that you get to test out new cards certainly has a part to play but the meta feels very fresh and diverse.
I feel like the new passives are on point. No more overpowered stuff that needs no synergy whatsoever.
The fact that I play casual instead of heroic (I value my gold more than stormwind packs on a discount, this close to the expansion release) might be the reason for the diversity, idk. Nontheless, a ton of fun!
A special shout out to freeze mage! I had a mad control deck with frostspells targeting also adjacent minions and armor for every frozen character.
It let to an interesting dynamic against DHs and Druids, where freezing face was the most important.
Arctic Armor + Mantle of Ignition? Nutty!
Exactly!
I've experimented with Kindling Flame + Hero Power Mage yesterday, while the Fire spells are very powerful I kept losing with 3-4 wins. I wasn't consistently drawing my fire spells (especially later on) and that caused problems. Also when you go hard on Fire spells you left with very few defensive options. Then again unless you have good healing early run Bomb Warriors and In your Face Demon Hunters always giving me trouble.
I tried It with Mantle of Ignition and Flame Waves as my second treasure. Maybe instead of Hero Power package I need to include more defensive tools.
Mantle of Ignition definitely has some potential: casting a spell two additional times is just too good to be ignored.
If your Hero Power is Frost Shards, I'd say you could try Spice Bread Baker. Armor Vendor: is quite useful too!
Mantle of Ignition has incredible defensive properties. One priest opponent was buffing his all board and "Holy Fire"'ing my board for 5 Mana Deal 15 Damage, Heal for 15
