Opened that one legendary nobody seems to be playing? Worry not, as today we'll take a look at some off-meta decks including some of the least popular legendaries from Scholomance Academy by using both the data from HSReplay.net and our community members' expertise.
DISCLAIMER: Take caution while crafting cards for these decks. Results may vary.
Control Warlock (with Archwitch Willow)
It's not the biggest of surprises that Willow ended up as one of the least played legendaries given the current Demon pool available to Warlocks in Standard. However, that didn't stop QPC123 from creating this Dragon-heavy list that also utilizes the new Soul Fragment mechanic.
FunkiMonki has also had some success with a Handlock list featuring Willow.
Combo Hunter (with Professor Slate)
Another legendary from the very bottom of the popularity chart. Finding a home for Slate wasn't simply enough for YourPrivateNightmare, as the list also houses Arcane Fletchers and Beastmaster Leoroxx. Further info about the deck can be found in this thread.
Soul Demon Hunter (with Star Student Stelina)
If I wasn't this humble, I would brag about being right about Stelina not being the meta breaker some people feared it would be. Regardless, MisterKnott has found a potential home for the Star Student, alongside Soul Fragments and the other new disruption tool, Glide.
Zoolock (with Disciplinarian Gandling)
I must admit that I almost shrugged zvp's deck off as a pure meme until I saw this Gandling Zoolock on HSReplay that also ran both Wisp and Desk Imp while sitting pretty at a 50% winrate (Bronze to Gold). The meme might pack more punch than expected.
Big Paladin (with Turalyon, the Tenured and Keymaster Alabaster)
Two birds with one stone! This deck has been the best performing list for both aforementioned legendaries according to HSReplay's (in this case rather sparse) data. At least if we count out the Libram Paladin list that decided to run Turalyon as well, but that's obviously winrate cheating.
Quest Hunter (with Ace Hunter Kreen and Vectus)
This list has been performing rather well in the Bronze-Gold region, so it might have what it takes to climb higher as well. Vectus will be a decent help with progressing the Quest even if you have to settle for Hench-Clan Hogsteeds for the Whelps' Deathrattles.
Highlander Tempo Mage (with Vectus)
I find this combination of the new Spell Damage/Tempo Mage and Highlander Mage quite curious. And what's even weirder is that it currently has a healthy 60% winrate (Bronze-Gold). I guess it just shows how ridiculously strong Zephrys and Reno are if you can afford to sacrifice consistency, Mana Cyclones, and Mana Giants for the duo.

I unpacked 5 out of 8 of these legendaries.
FeelsBadMan
In the article you constantly using stats from HSreplay (nothing wrong with that) using "Bronze to Gold" data. And I got curious. I know, most players are in the Bronze to Gold category. Not playing much, going battlegrounds and all that stuff... but from people, who visit this site regularly and try to follow news, meta - I think they are above average casual players. They spend some time investing in the game beyond playing it.
So, in my opinion, using that kinda stats for articles here is just wrong.
That's the only region which the non-Premium HSReplay shows you. If they had "all ranks" stats, I would've used those. Another fact is that I fear the winrate of some of the stat-selected decks here would take a big dive had I used Diamond-Legend instead...
Had this article been focused on best (off-meta) decks to climb with, I definitely would've needed to bite that bullet. Now I think I can get away with the low rank region as this is supposed to be more like a "here's some ideas how to use these legendaries" post.
I just fear there might be a disappointment from people if they try those decks and they are 8+ stars players. Talking with my friends I found out there are sometimes absolute trash decks dominating those ranks, just cause people can't handle aggro well or don't understand resource management needed for more complicated decks.
I think the article is fine. Really. I'm in a same boat. I want to use some legendaries that I got, but are out of the meta. But I do understand what I'm getting into. Like struggling 40% winrate.
Mom, look, I did it, I'm famous now.
I guess I'm gonna write that guide after all
Poor Turalyon :(
I tried various lackey lock decks in the past to only fail due to the inconsistency of getting Dark Pharaoh Tekahn. But having Disciplinarian Gandling in your deck means that you have 2 options for all the lackeys you can produce. So... I'll give him a solid 4 stars for that one scenario.
Is it just me or are there less fun decks at the moment? Struggling to play something to keep me entertained this expansion.
I want to try Vectus in a deck like this but couldn't get it from my packs and don't have enough dust to craft;
Deck ID Not Found
I really don't know it would be viable or not just want to try it. If anyone have those cards please try it at least in one game and let me know. Also I want to try another version without those high cost cards and with just burn cards.
no offense, but this just seems like a worse version of Face Hunter.
I can't try it because I don't have Polkelt, but overall you're playing a burn deck with such a large curve and no utility whatsoever that if your opponent ever gets ahead you have no way of coming back (especially since about 20% of your draws are just dead until turn 7)
don't worry, I won't be offended and I know this is just worse face hunter version but I really want to try Vectus with Toxic Reinforcements and such.
Btw, I'm aware of that big mana costs might screw these kind of decks, I just built it before expansion is released and with the hype of new cards such as Lorekeeper Polkelt etc. If I will get Vectus, I will probably try it in a more refined version of this deck.
I just wanted to know if Vectus might be like Dr. Boom in a deck like this.
I mean...Vectus would, at best, be a 5-mana deal 6 (if you hit double Sandtrooper) so I don't think he's even that impactful, even in face deck
Slate was my pre-order golden. Or as I normally call the bad golden legendaries I get from pre-orders: my “choose your own non-golden legendary” legendary.
Just gonna throw a plug in for YourPrivateNightmare's Hunter deck using Professor Slate (second on the list above). I've been playing this deck at Diamond 10 with something like 50% winrate, and having LOTS of fun! The Krush/Ramkahen/Leoroxx combo can amount to a lethal burst, and Arcane Fletcher plus Pen Flinger is just bonkers.
