Time flies when you're having fun! Darkmoon Faire's meta has gotten more concrete with us approaching the end of the second week. Compared to last week, we've got Bomb Warrior dropping off, Evolve Shaman taking over Totems, Highlander Hunter making Face take a hike, and Priests... well... nothing has changed there. We'll talk more about the deck swaps within each class highlight below.
The decks below are sorted by winrate using higher-ranked data from HSReplay.
Highlander Hunter
The new king! Although Face Hunter is still a popular deck, Highlander Hunter has not only beaten it but also jumped Hunter into the new king of the meta.
Aggro Demon Hunter - 56% WR
Moving up from the third-place slot into second, Aggro Demon Hunter remains a top contender in the meta.
Lightforged Pure Paladin - 56% WR
Lightforged Paladin remains solidly in the top 3 of the meta but has moved down from the pole position it received last week. The most popular list out there has not changed one bit and is the only list today that does not make use of any cards from the new set.
Perfectly balanced as all things should be.
Personally, I'm more of a fan of playing with the new cards I've opened, so I prefer the list making use of newer cards and I'm hoping this eventually outclasses the one featured below.
Evolve Shaman - 54% WR
In last week's look at the meta, Evolve Shaman was beaten by Totem Shaman but it looks like a reversal has taken place! Shaman is doing very well overall though so whether it is the Evolve, Totem, or even Enhancement variety, you'll kick ass and be a solid contender in the meta.
- Totem Shaman (Same list as last week)
- Enhancement Shaman
Shamans have not changed places in the overall Standard meta.
Rush OTK Warrior feat. E.T.C. - 52% WR
Barely beating out Bomb Warrior, which remains very popular with players while maintaining a solid winrate from last week, E.T.C., God of Metal has pushed the Rush OTK fun to the forefront of the class.
Warriors, like the Shamans above them, have not changed places this week.
Secret Rogue - 52% WR
Another class that hasn't moved! We're recommending a slightly different list than the one from last week.
- Removed 1x [Hearthstone Card (Pharoah Cat) Not Found]
- Removed 1x Plagiarize
- Removed 1x Zephrys the Great
- Added 2x Spymistress
- Added 1x Ambush
Ambush is a helpful addition to the mid-game which can help us get through any larger minions that get placed down and it helps us get more freebies from Shadowjeweler Hanar.
Additionally, Stealth Rogue is close enough to Secret Rogue in performance that it deserves a mention here. Here's an up-to-date list for Stealth Rogue if you're interested.
Zoolock - 52% WR
Did you catch on to the theme yet? Zoolock remains in 7th place, though it is definitely nowhere near lame! No changes from last week.
Secret Mage - 51% WR
Last week's ranking and decklist remain top-tier for Secret Mage. Nothing else is currently worth playing for our frosty friend which makes sense given the majority of Mage cards we saw added in Darkmoon Faire pushed Secrets hard.
Guardian Druid - 50% WR
Guardian Druid is an interesting beast. It definitely performs better at the bottom of Hearthstone's ladder but as you climb up, the winrate plummets. If you're interested in playing, last week's list still remains a popular choice no matter where you are on the ladder.
Big Priest - 46% WR
And then there was Priest. Things are not looking too hot still for this side of the light but it's still early and there are always adjustments we could see whether that is from player meta changes or Blizzard bringing home some nerfs to other classes.
With that said, Japanese streamer, PAMELA_emuritto, has taken Priest in a different direction to rank 43 Legend which might be interesting to check out.

What exactly is the OTK in the OTK Warrior deck? I know it probably has something to do with Animated Broomstick, but how do you accumulate enough damage for an OTK?
Play E.T.C., God of Metal, deal 1 damage to him with Pen Flinger, copy E.T.C with x2 Bloodsworn Mercenary, and play Animated Broomstick to give them all rush.
Nohands said on stream that the Libroom Paladin is better than pure paladin
Diamond 5 to Legend was so painful, but I wanted to get Legend for once. Now I'm chillin' with wacky decks like Tonk Hunter, Menagerie Warrior, Duel Paladin.
Tonk Hunter is surprisingly good, but you need Secrets, Petting Zoo etc. to survive the early game, and Yogg is good with all these spells. I've tried a version heavy with Deathrattles, but it's usually slow.
I've tried to complete Horrendous Growth achievement (15 or more attack). I put 2 copies to Secret Mage. It seemed like a good idea due to all those 3+ cost cards. In the end, I played them as 15/15 and 14/14 lol. I feel like this card has a great potential in the right deck.
Lots of people playing old decks with not a single DMF card in it, what's wrong with those men and women. Don't you like to experiment and get something refreshing to play?
Other then that too many hunters and demon hunters around who only know how to go face and ignore anything else. Fun!!
I only opened about 40 packs so trying to make a full DMF deck is a challenge. I can see why it's easier to stick with a meta deck you've already invested in and swapping a few new cards. If Blizzard had given away one Old God for free at the beginning of the expansions, you would definitely see far more experimentation.
I really dislike the current standard meta. It's mostly old decks, hyperaggro and infinite armor control warrior that can otk.
Reached legend for the first time with ETC warrior. If played correctly the winrate should be way higher than 52%. Thing is, one small mistake can cost you the game.
That's a very common thing with control decks, even the more oppressive ones. Longer games lead to more opportunities for an average player to misplay resulting in a loss. I think one of the best cases of this was with Patron Warrior, which while arguably not a control deck, never was close to having a 50% winrate in ladder yet it warped the entire metagame around itself due to being so absurdly powerful.
Looking back, the ETC deck is basically just modern-day Patron Warrior, which is pretty cool since Patron Warrior was the first big deck i really was able to get behind.
Congrats on making legend :)!
standard ladder is every other game Demons? Demons
Priest may be showing a glimmer with this new deck from NoHandsGamer. Here's Dekkster playing it.

I haven't played it a ton yet but it has been VERY fun and not at all Rez Priesty. It's done VERY well against Demon Hunter and held its own in general. Everything just flows and synergizes so well together in this deck. In my experience so far at least. If you like Priest DEFINITELY try this and stick with it long enough to figure out what you're trying to do. I'm not guaranteeing it has the chops but it's fun and feels like it has potential.

(Nazmani Bloodweaver is still bugged and may apply cost reduction to 0-cost cards but it hasn't been a problem for me yet. Just be aware of it.)
I've been playing a version of this and it definitely has a 100% fun-rate (and like sub-50% win-rate). Looking forward to trying out this version.
Is it really a bug? I feel like it should work that way, don't see why 0-cost should be excluded from random. And you can play those zeros before, Dekkster just missplayed.
"Reduce the cost" cannot apply to a 0-cost card unless you want make it cost -1. In that case Bloodweaver is not reducing the cost of a random card. It's just doing nothing. Anyway it a confirmed bug.
The fact that Nazmani Bloodweaver is still bugged makes me really uncomfortable since I've built various Priest heavy decks that rely on big discount turns but, with this... *ehm*... feature I'm not able to play as intended.
I really hope a hotfix will come as fast as possible (even though almost 2 weeks have already passed with nothing more than an acknowledgement)
